Two variations of force lightning (lightside/darkside) and one variation of drain.

I'd agree with that assessment.

Nearly all Force abilities can be used for both Light side and Dark side effects.

Ares point seems to be that, if you accept "emerald lightning" is Force lightning, how do you distinguish between the effects of the Dark Reaper and Darth Nihilus?

That EL/EJ is The Light side varient that has a few colors, that incapacitates an opponent rather than killing them.

Sith Lightning is the Dark side variant that has a few colors, that kills an opponent and siphons off life energy.

And Darth Nihilus placed his soul into the Dark Reaper when he died, retaining his consciousness.
