Now honest question, I am NOT trying to trap or anything like that, I genuinely know of Surfer from Annihilation, the bits and pieces I pick up here and there (fighting Knull etc)....in short, I know jackshit about him. Is this a common thing for him, as in, you wouldn't consider it an outlier? From Comicvine a casual glance tells me he has appeared in 2,422 issues, and of course a lot of that will be Spanish/other language editions, or issues where he's standing in the background, so will round down to....1,000 arbitrarily, for ease of calculations.

definitely an outlier. I wouldn't suggest that in a vs match he can see the future, obviously. I would say that it, and a couple other showings, do more than enough to suggest that ss sees time very differently from most though. which was the point of my original post (though I freely confess to not understanding why I phrased it the way I did. I do know I wouldn't have been making something up but not sure where I got the phrasing. if I had to guess, it's from the fact that he is able to perceive the implicate order, as he also demonstrated). would his ability to view time differently allow him to perceive flash? maybe. as I said, I don't think it's an unreasonable line of thinking, especially given his own speed feats.
