I think Activision is worst because they kill IP's.

And EA doesn't?

EA murdered quite a few themselves, to be fair.

And Activision makes good games too... their net just isn't as wide as EA's.

Look up Pandemic Studios.

You need to see the negative of this cover.

Dang, thats ****ing badass.

I want my low fantasy back.

When the hell was Dragon Age low fantasy? You fights orcs, werewolves, demons and dragons.

Low fantasy can have fantasy elements such as warewolves, orcs dragons and etc. Game of Thrones is practically the flagship of low fantasy but it has dragons, ghosts and wizards in it.

I guess you could be a pedantic shithead and call Dragon Age dark fantasy, but who wants to be a pedantic shithead?

I can see the argument for it having elements of low fantasy. I just wouldn't say that it's solely that. I'd class it as being almost in the middle.

Love that cover btw.

It's low fantasy in regards to power-level of most of the characters, and the state of society.

Dragon Age 2 made that somewhat less so, with the Champion rofl-slaughtering dozens of enemies at a time, and being a gary-stu paragon who lives in a mansion and is openly admired and loved by an entire city. But, it still has its low fantasy roots.

I'm really hoping the Inquisitor or whatever he's going to be called isn't some superhuman God of War who can solo armies and shit.

That is one bad ass cover.

Sorry Blax, main char seems to be superhuman.

Just like the first game as well. Your character single handily defeated the invasion.

If the game is half as epic as the trailer makes it look, then I won't be disappointed.

Aye; the things the Warden accomplished are ridiculous for a supposedly average person.

Not really. Storywise the warden didn't do anything too crazy. All the big battles had armies with him as that was his goal. The arch demon fight had soldiers and siege weapon canonically. His biggest thing was fighting a dragon which while impressive is to be expected of fantasy knight.

From a force of will perspective, maybe. I recall the Warden getting knocked out by a handful of archers after Ostagar, and only managing to end the blight after convincing other faction leaders to help him, most of whom didn't give a **** about the Warden or the Blight and only agreed to help after the Warden acted as their ***** for awhile and helped them with some of their own problems first.

It's expected for heroes to do heroic things- that's why they're heroes. But the Warden's accomplishments required much more toil and cooperation from other forces in the world, especially compared to the Champion's. Aside from his own party, in which he was the de facto leader, the Warden played more of a support role in the events of the game than a leader. Kings and leaders weren't personally seeking him out to ask for his expert advice, for example.

Human? Meh. Regardless who they make the canon default, Qunari class will be best Inquisitor.

I know I'm one of the few who prefer gameplay over graphics but this...oh boy. It makes me hope what I see on there will be on the 360. Not sure if the Dragon's Keep Bioware talks a lot about will port my saves from an Xbox to a PS4.

Have to disagree to an extent. Unless we're ignoring gameplay mechanics and just focusing on the story itself.

it doesn't port anything. it's an app that influences your starting position when you start Inquisition.

Yeah I'm ignoring the gameplay aspect because most of the instance of it not seeming like an army at the end is engine limitations. Lorewise, all the really big things outside of the dragon in the snow and possibly flementh he had a lot of help and resources.

I focus specifically on the story and world because we are talking about high versus low fantasy and all. So assumed it would be most appropriate to consider the changes in in universe perception from talented knight who led a unified front against a powerful enemy to one man army solving everything alone.

All of the mages throwing flame storms and ripping peoples blood out suggests its closer to high fantasy to me.
