COUNT DOOKU & GENERAL KENOBI vs DARTH SIDEOUS

Started by Nephthys21 pages

Yeah, damn impressive for Keno8i. Although it was more the result of intelligent planning than raw skill. He had his 8ack to the wall, but he was a8le to capitalise on Savage's weakened knee.

Also, nice feat for Maul at the end there. He's definately showed that he's more powerful than O8i-Wan and can handle him with the Force.

Someone doesn't follow his feats well enough.

Obi-Wan has also been a badass fighter. He's the Wolverine of Star Wars.

Perhaps. But there is absolutely no reason to put him anywhere even near the level that Obi-Wan is operating at.

You're response makes no sense. Think before you reply, please. I know it's difficult for you, but at least try.

BTW, aren't you the same genius who claims that The Clone Wars aren't canon material? Yeah, figures.

None (not his "victory" over an extremely conflicted Anakin/Vader, or his win over GG in RotS, or anything else...) of Kenobi's feats have made me think "wow, Kenobi is ***king badass" until I saw the duel in 'Revival.' That episode does well in showing Kenobi's prowess.

Not even the Vader duel?

Edit: Now that I think about it not killing Anakin makes no sense now. He even says in this episode that Sith don't die, so one would assume he would make sure Anakin is dead before leaving... Meh.

Nope, not really. This however fits in well with the later RotS material and really pulls it together nicely.

Holy!!! Wat an awsome episode!

Obi-Wan and Maul both rocked..

Yeah but still he fought them both off in Sabers.

Yeah Maul's definitely more powerful with the Force. But I think they look pretty close in Sabers. Might give Obi-Wan the edge just for fighting them both off like that.

JT's got you there Tzeentch!

If you ignore CW then you ignore what's possibly Obi-Wan's best Sword fighting feat to date.

Dave Filoni talked about that. Saying he really did screw up there.

But I'm guessing he still just wasn't seeing him as an actual Sith. More like a Brother who went really bad.

Yeah, dialogue notwithstanding, the episode was very good and the duel was satisfying. Hopefully Obi-Wan will get the opportunity to actually win a fight this season, as opposed to this episode and last season where he spent so much time being someone else's chew toy.

If that fight in Revival doesn't count as a "win" for Obi-Wan then I don't know what does. Opress's arm is the witness to Obi-Wan's triumph.

I know Maul overpowered him with the Force, but Obi-Wan seemed to have them both outmatched in the Sabers fight.

If Obi-Wan was just better in using the Force he'd be a very powerful Jedi.

That wasn't a "win" for Obi-Wan anymore than Dooku's KO'ing of Obi-Wan in ROTS means he won the clash aboard the Invisible Hand.

The fight ended with Savage wounded and Obi-Wan unconscious and buried beneath a mountain of rubble. So if by "win" you mean Obi-Wan didn't die, then yeah he won big time. (They all won by that reckoning.) If by "win" you mean he won the fight, then no.

A nice feat for maul there? are you referring to the force push into the wall? im pretty sure kenobi would be capable of doing that, and plus maul did that just to run away from kenobi.

I do agree that obi wan should use the force more often, however, maul just did that force push so that he could run away. im pretty certain obi won could just do the same thing. So imo, I would say he cowardly used the force, instead of overpowered kenobi with the force.

obi wan was never unconscious? he was still awake.

On the Invisible Hand, Dooku beat Obi-Wan no question. The fact that he did it while fending off Anakin just made it much more impressive.

Similarly Obi-Wan beat Opress no questions. The fact that he did this while fighting off Maul made that particular victory all the more sweet.

But yeah Maul clearly overpowered Obi-Wan with the force. Maul has become powerful.

Cowardly? It wasn't just that force push. He force choked Obi-Wan in the middle of the fight as well. And his force feat with Obi-Wan's ship was better than anything we've ever seen from Obi-Wan.

Maul's more powerful in the Force. There's no point in arguing that. But Obi-Wan seems to have the edge over him in Sabers... For now.

And he wasn't running away from Obi-Wan exactly. He was running from the messed up situation. The plan which he realized had failed.

I can't tell if he was ever actually unconscious. But he was clearly overpowered at that point.

So back to the Sidious vs Dooku and Obi-Wan...

Sidious definitely isn't stomping the Sabers fight. Even the all out might not be that easy if Dooku can somehow prevent Sidious from quickly destroying Obi-Wan with the Force.

No, he Force Pulled the Jedi's ship to 8lock the pursuit.

Spoiler:
Obi-Wan (like Dooku) was fighting two opponents: Obi-Wan, like Dooku, felled one only to be overpowered by the other. Obi-Wan (like Dooku) cannot be said to have "won" the fight unless we limit the fight only to one opponent when, in fact, there were two.

But this reminds me:

DARTH POWER, pg 11
Ooohh I'd be careful of using the word "inevitable" especially when we're gna see Kenobi defeat Maul and Opress in a couple of days.

😂

Now that the episode has aired and its outcome differed radically from the one you proposed, it's time for some my much-deserved gloating and condescension. This turn of events, no doubt, is in part why you demanded that discussion of the Zabraks' duel against Sidious be tabled until the event in question airs on TV. Setting aside the fact that SIDIOUS66 at least had access to a canon source that directly portrayed the fight (an advantage you didn't share with respect to this fight until yesterday), your conduct here was completely hypocritical and utterly premature. Desperate as you were to seize a victory here that continues to elude you even now, you refused to apply yourself to the same standard you demanded SIDIOUS66 adhered to when it suited your argument.

Your conduct against SIDIOUS66 notwithstanding, worse was your conduct with respect to me.

(Note that these remarks from you preceded any and all jabs from me.)

DARTH POWER, pg 12
I know you Sidous/Palpatine fans like to stick together but at least read what the debate was about before making accusations.

DARTH POWER, pg 12
Just because your a bigger Sidious fan then Sidious66 doesn't mean you can just completely twist what started that debate and what it was actually about and then make accusations based on your twisting.

Jeez Palpatine has taught you well!

A cursory examination of the earlier discussion between you and SIDIOUS66 reveals that you pulled a similar stunt with him (for which he called you out): when things didn't go your way, you started lobbing limp-wristed insults like "fanboy, fanboy!" in his direction. What makes it worse here is that the only "Sidious" I was remotely defending was the poster, not the character.

But the luscious cherry on top of the sundae that is your abject failure is no doubt your response when called out again by SIDIOUS66:

DARTH POWER, pg 13
No I leave that childish behavior to people like Tempest shouting out "I win, you Lose!!!"

Because apparently a very recent history of using double standards and hurling insults unprovoked does not qualify as childish behavior? 😂

In summary, your blatant and persistent use of double standards when it came to relying on information not publicly aired came tumbling around your ears; your attempt to save face by hurling insults when called out on your ridiculous behavior led you to again use double standards (it's okay for you to call SIDIOUS66 and myself fanboys, but it's not okay for me to tell you you lose? 😂 ); and your glaring use of a strawman fallacy to further derail the discussion met with similar success (which is to say none). So when the smoke from the carnage caused by your wild, chaotic, desperation-fueled flailing, you are in fact no closer to winning this argument and have only succeeded in reducing your already paltry credibility with the noble men and women of this fine message board.

Your grandiose failure is now complete and I urge you to retire from the internet community altogether in order to recede into the depths of your mediocrity in private.

Don't forget my contributions. While few in number (you know... having a FT job and being a FT college student takes up a good portion of my time), they were weighty in... weight.
