Ok, let me start off by saying it was better than Superman Returns. With that being said
This movie was sub par and thats putting it mildly. There is no chemistry between the actors. The relationships are just blah. The only one I semi liked was Jor El. There is no buildup to the action which is repetitive, hard to follow, and not impressive. It's like they had meetings and said oh yeah collateral damage people are going to love this. I saw it with two other guys and they both agreed this was flat and stale. I was happy for it to end and quite bored.
More specifically I didn't care for Lois and Supermans relationship. I won't ruin any details here just generalities. I also thought Henry Cavill's performance was flat and nowhere near an IronMan, Thor, or Batman who nailed their roles.
I suspect it to have an impressive opening weekend due to the trailer and the excitement generated by marvel heroes which will rub off here. Once word of mouth spreads this thing should drop off dramatically. No substance. Critics were dead right here.

Thanks for the review. Dang it...I had high hopes. I wanted to see what a film would be like with current technology that would most closely resemble what we would do with Dragonball.

Oh, you get that all right...
My review will have to wait for later as I am still on the fanboy high, but I really enjoyed it. Yes, it was flawed but the action scenes are top notch! It blows all other superhero films away on that account.

What did you expect from a Dc hater?
From what he's stated, he had high hopes for this film.
Also, has he said he hates DC? I though it was more of a "Marvel is clearly better and more interesting" rather than a "I hate DC".

Being the immature tard that I am, I will definitely eat up the film if the action is good enough. 🙂 I look forward to an in-depth review from you.

That said... If Mark ****ing Waid didn't like the movie very much, I am terrified of the prospect of seeing it.
"Too cold" were the words he used. Which is contrary to what I believe Superman should be about.

Might be turning in my man card here, but I could have done with a lot less fighting. I mean A LOT less. They were good, but I just couldn't keep up...
Unfortunately too much action and not enough story can ruin a film so if that's the case here i understand.
Having said that... you clearly hate Superman and DC as a whole. You also slap babies 😠
There is a lot of action, and I loved it. I think what is bothering people is the fact there is action in everything. Even the scenes that are meant to show character development/progress plot have action. It is kind of the theme of the movie. Kal-El constantly holding back, struggling to control his might and remain undercover.
One of my favorite aspects of the movie is how the script nailed Superman being conflicted with being the bridge between krypton and earth. It really gave him depth and made him feel human eventhough he was operating on godlike levels.
Originally posted by steverules_2Unfortunately there isn't. It was disappointing because a lot of people were really hyped/anxious to see a post credit scene ala marvel.
I wanted to see it today but my friends are lazy f*ckers and don't have jobs, probably end up seeing it tomorrowSomeone lemme know if there's a end scene after the credits
