I hope this does well so the next one we can get a good villain.Hopefully, Doomsday or Brainiac, but it'll probably be Luthor...

Knowing dc it will definitely be Luthor.
i hopes it's Cadmus... led by Luthor.
I thought the robot that attacked Lois was Brainiac, i hope not, 'cause I'm tired of him.

i read a while back that Cadmus might be involved at some point but Amanda Waller would be the head of Cadmus..
Luthor will be in the sequel but I have to think that he will could be a secondary villain
Not that I think DC should try and copy Marvel but I think they missed the chance to really excite the fanbase with a post-credits scene of sorts.
Imagine something like an unidentified bald man sitting in a luxurious office reading the Daily Planet. Then the camera pans outward to reveal the outside of a window showing a bunch of machines with LexCorp branded on them rebuilding Metropolis.
I would have lost it.

Saw man of steele on opening night. It was ok that's bout all I can say bout it. It felt like a sci fi flic, not a comic book movie at all. The movie seemed kinda rushed. The old Superman movies with Christopher reeve had a sense of honor and patriotism in them. Mabey even pride. Didn't sense that in this movie. AT times I thought I was watching independence day II with superman as a supporting actor. The movie didn't have superman in it almost at all. On the bright side the special effects were good.

Superman, at the core, IS science fiction. Just as much as Wonder Woman is mythology.
This movie had all those things. Pardon them for leaving out the cheesiness that ran rampant throughout the Donner flicks. Not trying to get into an "old vs. new" debate like we had with Star Trek when the latest film released but c'mon.
Snyder did for this what Abrams did for Trek in 09. Modernized and made it cool for this generation.
The movie "didn't have Superman in it almost at all"? Really?
Did you like Captain America?
