Man of Steel (2013)

the Aquaman one is is interesting. I think it's a reach, but it does make sense and hope it's true.

I like them all. Specially Diana.

You know it would make sense and all. All these heroes already existing without revealing their existence. Superman revealing himself prompting them to follow suit like it was in New 52.

That Aquaman one was my favorite. The idea that the oil rig was in the process of blowing up when Clark came along because Aquaman destroyed it for attempting to drill into Atlantis is awesome. Also, the military launching operation TRIDENT against the kryptonians (which is apparently their invasion contingency plan for Atlantis) is even more awesome. That makes it feel like Aquaman is already a world power that the military acknowledges and fears.

Man, Diana must have been mind blown by a man falling out of the sky and then just flying off.

And Superman is definitely on Bruce's radar after destroying a satelite worth millions-billions of dollars.

The possibilities that open up with the inclusion of all these easter eggs are awesome to think about.

Diana got her first period from watching Superman's stunt.

Saw the movie.

6.5 out of 10. It wasn't that great. I cannot quite give it a 7.

It feels like the film was missing something and that something was quite huge. I think others have talked about it: character chemistry, maybe? For example, the relationship between Zod and Kal seemed forced.

Anyway, I'll spare the details on the actual movie rating. I may be wrong and I gave it a 7.5.

Movie score was definitely forgettable. Not sure why people liked it.

Man, I'm pretty disappointed that I missed so many of those easter eggs. One things for sure, DC is a lot more subtle than Marvel with their easter eggs. All of those nods to different heroes being included in the movie makes it even better for me.

I didn't see the Wayne Ent. symbol on the satellite. However, I did notice the Booster Gold and lol'd.

besides the obvious ones (the logos) are any of the rest actually confirmed?

The Supergirl, Lex Luthor, and Batman easter eggs have been confirmed. Booster Gold, Tony Gallo, STAR labs, and Carrie Ferris (Hal Jordans girl) are all real and outed.

Wonder Woman is not confirmed. The woman on the horse on a random island seemed to be a heavy nod towards Wonder Woman. That scene is too random for it to not mean something. Plus, with everyone else already included, it would be pretty far fetched to think she'd be left out (I mean, Booster Gold made it in).

The name of the drilling company being Merrevale Oil has to be a nod. There is no way thats a coincidence. I'm going to rewatch Man of Steel in a few days to confirm all these though. Also, the military having an invasion plan called operation TRIDENT has to be a contingency for atlantis.

It's also worth noting that Zack Snyder has gone on record as saying that the other heroes do exist in this world. They just haven't really come forth as heroes first. He wanted Superman to be the absolute first.

The only really far fetched easter egg that needs some kind of confirmation is Martian Manhunters one.

Awesome! Just like New 52. That is brilliant.

What ship are we talking about for MoS?

http://screenrant.com/man-of-steel-prequel-comic-movie-spoilers/

The deserted ship that Clark explores in the artic that was apparently meant to be his version of the Fortress of Solitude. Its Karas ship from the prequel comic. The ship that had all the pods with the dead kryptonians inside and one opened pod. It was Karas that crashlanded on earth after getting damaged from her fight with Dev-Em. Thats why it sent out the distress beacon to Zod when Clark activated it. The dead krytonians in the pod used to be Karas crew. The prequel comic never explains what happens to her, but she wasn't in the ship so it's clear she made it out. I'm assuming she put herself back into stasis and got out years later.

Also, the prequel comic outs the existence of Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

Ah sorry,. Yeah i knew about the kara easter gg. I was asking about the WW easter egg. Should've been more precise.

I cant remember perfectly, because I've only watch it once, but I do remember him destroying some ship and then crash landing onto an island. I even remember Diana on a horse. I thought it was a weird scene, but I didn't get a chance to put it together before it was off to the next scene.

Was it the ship from the artic that had all the kryptonian babies and stuff? The one Kal-El destroyed before he and Zod went Goku vs Vegeta on us? I have a rip and I'm looking to confirm these easter eggs.

I don't think it was that ship. I cant perfectly remember. I wish I had a rip so I could rewatch the movie. I remember the scene, but I cant remember when it happened.

Yeah watched that scene again and that ship crashed in metropolis, so scratch that.

I missed the Wayne Easter egg. I did see the LexCorp ones (buildings and trucks), Star Labs, Missed Carol Ferris, saw the Supergirl one, missed Themyscira, and the Aquaman one was pretty obvious.

====

Movie was an easy 8.5 for me. Some of the lower ratings, I just can't fathom, tbh.

I only saw the Wayne Satellite one.

Can't open that link at work. Can someone please explain the Easter Eggs to me? I saw the satellite and Lex Corp trucks but i must have missed the others

Here:

Shared Universe

In the scene of the satellite explosion, a Wayne Enterprises logo can be seen on the satellite just prior to it's destruction.

Various LexCorp logos can be seen through out the movie. On the propane trucks Zod picks up during the end fight scene.

After Superman Brings down the drone, the soilder that says "He's kinda hot" has a last name of Ferris. Possibly Carol Ferris. In the credits she is listed as Carrie Ferris

When the guard wakes up as a result of the ship taking off there are two computer monitors. One has readings of the ice, the next has a display of a red desert like surface. Possibly Mars and the Martian Manhunter.

There is a reference to S.T.A.R. Labs home of Cyborg.

In the scene shortly before the Wayne Enterprises easter egg, Zod and Superman rocket past a sky scraper sporting the logo "Utopia Casino". This could be a possible reference to the storyline in which Lois Lane and Superman go on to parent a race of supermen and women, known as Utopia

This is a tricky one, but try and follow along: Before the film came out, DC Comics published a prequel comic explaining how that Kryptonian seed ship ended up trapped in the Arctic ice floe for the past 20,000 years. It turns out that Superman's distant cousin (ancestor?) Kara Zor-El, better known as Supergirl, piloted that ship. Unfortunately, a rogue killer murdered the rest of the crew in their stasis pods, but Supergirl herself apparently survived the attack — as hinted at by the one empty and open stasis chamber Clark finds when he enters the ship. So did Supergirl die 20,000 years ago? Or did she get back in her pod and emerge much more recently? Or was the lone survivor of the crash actually the Kryptonian serial killer? Looks like we'll have to wait for the sequel to find out.

During the final Zod battle, a logo for Blaze Comics can bee seen in the background. Blaze Comics publishes Booster Gold's comic in the DC universe.

The computer displays in Zod's ship and the crashed seed ship display what appears to be gibberish in Kryptonian lettering. However, "Man of Steel" producer Deborah Snyder revealed recently in an interview that they actually had linguists create a Kryptonian language so they could hide messages in Kryptonian. So what secrets do those messages hold? Well, Snyder claims she can't remember, meaning you'll have to decode the alien language yourself to find out.

Utopia Casino can be seen during the big Zod battle, who's owner is responsible for introducing Kryptonite to Metropolis

Right after Superman destroys the Kryptonian vessel, he falls onto an island and there is a girl on a horse. The island is Themyscira and the girl is Diana.

The Oil Rig scene was one giant reference to Aquaman. The name of the drilling company was Merrevale Oil, which is the same company that drills in Atlantean ground in the comics. When Clark awakens in the water, the whales begin to do a whale call. It is possible the the oil rig was taken down by Aquaman and the whales were signaling that Clark was okay. Also the mission code name for the invasion is "Trident".

There are also a bunch of Man of Steel Easter Eggs in Smallville as some of the businesses reference Superman lore, such as Ezra's Mail Depot, the Chloe Sullivan reference with Sullivan's Tractor Repair, and the Superman editor Mort Weisinger elementary school reference.

Past TV

In one of the teenage Clark Kent flashback scenes, where Jonathan Kent breaks up a conflict between Clark and bullies, a garage with the logo "Sullivan's" can be seen. This is a clear nod to the character Chloe Sullivan in the TV series Smallville.
There were many references to characters from Superman's hometown, but one character who only got the briefest mention was Clark's first girlfriend, Lana Lang. Clark's buddy Pete Ross seemed to appear in every single scene, Lana had only two brief shots as a girl on the school bus making eyes at Clark and who was later identified in passing as "Lana."
Alessandro Juliani who played a character named Officer Sekowsky in the film is the same actor who played Dr. Emil Hamilton on the Smallville Television Series.

Past Movies

In the scene where Jor-El tells Kal-El about Krypton's history and his escape, the artwork shows the baby capsule as a star like the capsule from the first Superman movie.

Cool interviews:
My favorite lol
Michael Shannon: Krav Maga. [Long beat] I think the important thing to remember was that on Krypton, Zod does not have any super powers—he’s just a general. He’s been training for a long time, whooping butt for a long time there on Krypton. Then he comes to Earth and goes through a similar thing that Kal-El goes through when he comes to Earth. It’s basically acclimatizing to the environment. But yeah, Zod has probably been doing those moves since he was a little boy… In terms of choreographed punches, it’s no secret to anyone in this room that I’m much stronger then Henry is. There were a lot of ice packs back at the hotel for Henry… Russell really kicks my butt in this movie. I mean he’s the Gladiator so what are you going to do?
