I agree with your comment. My point was that it was not good writing for an on-screen display of superman especially when you are trying to appeal to a large audience.

i thought it was the best on-screen display of superman..

my brother manages 4 amc theaters in the state of Washington. During a large opening usually with D.C and marvel they will do a poll and get the ages of all persons buying tickets. we recently compared Man of Steele 's first week of ticket sales vs the avengers first week of ticket sales.

Man of Steel:

age 15-25 sold 84% of all ticket sales
age 26-35 sold 10% of all ticket sales
age 36+ sold the rest

The Avengers:

age 15-25 sold 35% of all ticket sales
age 26-35 sold 30% of all ticket sales
age 36+ sold the rest

Was pretty surprised at the numbers myself. From what we have seen at least in our theaters almost the entire crowd going to MOS are 15-25, anyone els notice this? or is it just our theaters? The numbers seem extremely lopsided age wise. THe avengers seemed pretty much even in all age catagories.

I like it. The more new kids get to experience Supes the better.

The theater was mostly people my age. mid 20's.
