I haven't said anything about this film yet lol.
I think it was a great movie! I had a few very small complaints but it was what I wanted to see for sure! As for the damage to the city......thats kind of what I would expect with a guy that powerful (especially being Superman for the very first time) fighting a group of people that over all are more powerful......Due to their fighting experience and tech that is. I don't feel they really needed any mention of how the public was addressed after the disaster. I think its obvious it would be a headline for all news and media. Imo the opening really made it different then the other superman moves! It had a solid plot and the action is what I wanted it to be! So im very happy with it!
Best original score of the year for me.
I say it was movie of the summer. And one of the most breathtaking superhero movies I've ever seen. It took action and special effects to a new level.
That said someone could have improved on the script. Also felt like the World Engine part dragged on, and the movie could have used a break from the action at that point. But hey how many films are absolutely perfect?
I liked the World Engine part. When Morpheus and whoeverthe**** were trying to help that woman, despite how close it was getting, refusing to leave her to die alone, then they just accept it and face their death, only for Superman to save the day? Man, I mother****ing teared the **** up. Genuinely powerful scene.
MAN OF STEEL
...brought to you by: Ihop, Sears, 7-Eleven, Uhaul, Nikon, etc.. Haha.. the product placement was blatant and rather annoying. But I guess they had to fund such an enormous movie somehow, huh?
That being said, I actually rather enjoyed it. I enjoyed the epic science fiction treatment. Probably could have used some humor here and there, but it actually made Superman believable and not-so corny to me. 4/5 stars for me. Oh, and the shaky cam for no reason during dialogue scenes is a trend that needs to stop, but I won't fault this film for it since it's not the only one to do it. Some of the action/effects were a little too much, too. I guess that comes with a $200+ million budget. It was very well acted, though. Great cast.
