thor or bill pure physical strength never close superman,no feats can prove it

They're close enough to hurt him with their bare fists (not that bare fists are what's going to be used for the most part) and are likewise durable enough to take blows from him for an extended fight.

There only one way can prove thor or bill can beat superman/supergirl:magic
strength?eh...overkill

There are no feats out there that prove that Thor/BRB can hurt Superman with their bare hands? baka

Pretty sure even the most diehard and rabid Superman fans would agree that the likes of Superman would register a punch from the likes of Thor.

Moot point anyway considering he's going to be swinging/throwing a magic hammer 9 out of 10 times in melee, anyway. And that's without factoring in his energy/weather manipulation.

Except those numerous Thor and Bill feats. And that's not even including the fact that they have magic on their side.

thor or bill can hurt superman just because magic, not muscle strength, this my point

They could hurt Superman with their bare fists. The gap between their physical strength and Superman's durability isn't nearly that large to suggest that he wouldn't even feel their blows.

And, not to be rude, but it's not true. They have plenty of feats that show they have the kind of strength in their punches that could hurt someone like Superman.

I am actually content with people arguing that Beta Ray Bill is strong enough to hurt Supergirl with bare hands.

I don't think the fight would go that way, for the little I've seen of the character ALWAYS has him with hammer in hand, but I'm content with the idea he could hurt Kara with a punch.

Admittedly, I have not seen more than perhaps one strength feat from Beta Ray Bill. It would be nice to see at least one other.

However, I don't think anyone should bet against Bill because his feats are few and far between.
Jake's comment that Stormbreaker's "worthiness" spell has been a long-standing feature for decades reminds me that, though Bill is a relatively new character for me, he's actually been around since the 1980s or so.

During that period, Thor and Thor-like characters were turning in some fairly respectable physical feats.

I seem to remember a showing where Thor, though with considerable help from the Avengers, managed to safely CATCH much of the island of Manhattan, which had been uprooted during battle with the villain Graviton, and lower that section of New York City, however big that happened to be, down to safety.

In another instance, I saw Thor do the following, roughly around the era of Beta Ray Bill's introduction to the Marvel Universe, and so somewhat worthy of consideration:

Not for anything can I imagine Thor today doing what I just showed above and will present as a URL here again now.

However, Beta Ray Bill, by definition, will be represented by far fewer feats. So if you actually examine his feats, he SHOULD prove more consistent over time, assuming Marvel had him performing strength feats to begin with, which I'm not at all sure of, and they [i]might[/b] be roughly in the class of what you see here, since they usually like to debut new characters with something impressive to brand them into viewers minds:

Thor was no feats can prove he was superman strength level, thor or bill never move the earth, superman did,i;m agree thor was more energy power but just not superman strength level even close

On the other hand, being strong enough to physically hurt Kara with punches says nothing about being strong enough to truly contend with her in a fight. Not even if she spent half the day getting the crap beaten out of her and separated into two HALVES of herself by a black-kryptonite-wielding Gundam suited Lex Luthor and then had her dark half ambushed, and screeched at, and folded to the ground, and ...

While I believe Superman is stronger, Thor is close enough, and has plenty of decent strength feats.

I feel a vague sadness tonight ...

I seem to remember this poster named P.R. who would not only participate in discussion, but actually provide people visual evidence to back up his claims. Discussions were often fruitful and entertaining, and they seldom if ever went in circles, for people could see immediately the truth of his claims. All they had to do was look at what he provided.
Or at least what he suggested they look at. Seldom did he fail to give a specific book for readers to go and buy and support the industry we all love so much. He was not vague. He was as straightforward as they come.
Every so often he would even supply requests, and more than was asked or expected, often concerning things nearly impossible to find otherwise. Generous, to say the least.
And he did this all out of the goodness of his heart.
I thanked him often for doing this, genuinely so; he was great to have around.
What a wonderful man that P.R. was!

Seems it's been a long, long time since HE visited, though ...

Treacherous memory -- I now wonder if I only imagined him ... 🙁

No, his strength would play a part too, and I am talking about feats. Superman might have more lifting feats, but Thor and Bill have plenty of combat feats to show that they can hang in a fight.

It's 4am. I'm lucky I'm awake.

That, and I generally only provide proof when I feel like there's a point to it. shrug

Why are these kids arguing against Bill when they clearly know nothing about him?

"hurr durr no worthiness enchantment."

Get the **** out.

This shit ain't valid.

It was a dream by Banner and the writer went out in an interview and said that it wasn't reliable.

Possible.

News to me if it is, but I don't own the comic that came from.

Sure you're not confusing it with the following, though?

THIS one would be nearly exactly what you describe, and I'm not sure I'd accord even Silver Age Supergirl with the physical might to pull THIS off in a sanctioned and published comic:
