I'm saying the reason CoR did poorly is because it moved away from what made Riddick popular in the first place.

No, it did poorly because it never really established a fan base in the first place just a niche audience. Shame as it was a good movie.

It did poorly cuz it sucked in comparison to the 1st one. People were expecting PB2 not appearing to put Riddick into an entirely different franchise
