I don't think anybody is claiming that Thor is as fast as Superman, or even in the same ballpark speed wise. The problem is more to do with Superman's propensity to fight at his opponent's level, Thor's AOE attacks, and again, Clark's unwillingness to go OWAW on Thor.
thats not the argument...people tend to forget that mjolnir can respond to thors thought and since it can move ftl the well there u have it. but like Placidity said, Marvel isnt hung up on superspeed like DC is so very few heralds have speed feats like their counters. IMO he can negate any blitz attempt from Clark.

I think it is. Maybe not to you, but still.

what about loki's speed/reaction?
I think people here are arguing Loki teleportation showings, with that included, I still don't think he would be able to react to a blitz from Kal or Wonder Woman in enough time to teleport. I can see where curry is going with this though. On average, people like Supes and Gladiator, Wonder Woman gets pimped slapped in 90% of their comics which is the reason why he is saying "average" portrayals but looking at everything as a whole, Loki isn't touching either of these characters but looking at Average portrayals, Loki has a chance of slapping Flash during mid blitz. It basically depends on what you see as an average for the characters and an average to me is something that is displayed majority of the time.

IMO I think he has a degree of super speed, but based on showings all over the spectrum, He could react to someone fast, just not to (or fast enough to) someone on the upper levels of speed.
The bad part is that "fast" can be a pretty vague term at times.

😂
If we're just talking about a pure punch up then yeah the likes of Superman could speed blitz Thor.
But when you consider the versatility Thor and Loki have available to them added to the reflexes they have, then it won't be that easy. Not at all.
Fact is Surfer has never been too fast for Thor. Different versions of Gladiator have been shown using their super speed on different versions of Thor and the most it ever came to is getting a few more hits in.
So yes Superspeed is a big asset Superman/Surfer has over Thor, but it's not some guaranteed win. Just like Thor's superior power output isn't a guranteed win over Superman/Surfer.

QFT.
Sentry wasn't too fast for Thor to tag. Neither was Hyperion, Gladiator, Silver Surfer, etc. (unless of course you want to throw all that out of the window even though its consistent). Even when someone is explictly "faster" than Thor, he still has the means to attack and defend himself as he doesn't have to score a flush tag or hit on them. Not when he has massive AoE attacks, homing attacks, etc.
Fact is that while speed has never been an explicit power focused upon for Thor, he has it to a degree and when faced against characters faster than him (which all of whom have used their speed in fights against Thor), it's never to the point where he's helpless which is something people seem to think will happen.
Loki can teleport, phase, turn intangible, shape shift, and do all other kinds of shit to nullify speed based attacks. Guy's dodged Mjolnir throws before at the last possible moment via teleporting or just phasing through them.
That same comic in which "Wolverine was too fast for Thor" showed that Thor, while holding back, was able to block against a sneak attack from Logan and even toss his midget ass like a ragdoll. And based against Thor's overall history, it's on the lower spectrum of showings anyway.
But Bruce doesn't read, let alone comprehend comics, so...

No he didn't. He was addressing Abhi's "Thor is slower than Wolverine" argument but also pointed out that Thor would be able to get hits on Surfer/Superman.

No, I didn't. 😂
I implied that given Thor's battles against beings with superspeed, who actually used their speed against him, he has more than enough showings to suggest he can both hit Superman and defend himself against him. He doesn't need to be as fast as Superman to do either. And again, that's without factoring in Mjolnir having the ability to do most of the work for Thor in terms of aiming and what not and Thor's massive area of effect attacks.
Thor's showings against Surfer speak for themselves.
Also, phuck Wolverine.
