So do you think the movie era Sith and Jedi are just not as good as some say or do you think they flat out suck?

It's my position that they are not the best Jedi of all time, especially given their standing as of the start of the Clone Wars. Anything during and after the Clone Wars is obviously outside of their 'Golden Age', if such a concept should even be entertained.

I'd like to state for the record that some of my favorite Jedi include Barriss Offee, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Luminara. Mace Windu had no charisma outside of Shatterpoint and Yoda is a fool. The others are just Aliens with Bones on their Faces.

Good lord, he's a rugby player!

Also, shoulderchecking two Sith, while admirable, is not close to representing the beatdown Jango gave Coleman Trebor and nearly gave Obi-Wan.

Actually, Obi-Wan's performance against Jango was far better than what those Sith mooks performed against Jace.

Do you think any among them stack up next to the ones you do consider to be the best?

Best what exactly?

So you've converted to Janus's camp or are you still in mine after all these years?

I was always under the impression that the movie era Jedi/Sith were inferior to those of the comics and games. At the same time, I still rate DE Sidious as the most powerful.

To what degree? Is Yoda inferior to Bandon?

LUCAS: "I've left pretty explicit instructions for there not to be any more features. There will definitely be no Episodes VII–IX. That's because there isn't any story. I mean, I never thought of anything. And now there have been novels about the events after Episode VI, which isn't at all what I would have done with it. The Star Wars story is really the tragedy of Darth Vader. That is the story. Once Vader dies, he doesn't come back to life, the Emperor doesn't get cloned and Luke doesn't get married..."

Sorry bro, he doesn't exist.

Fighters? Swordsmen? Force users? Where is, say, Yoda?

Bandon is his own tier. Like, the hierarchy goes something like this:

Ragnos Tier

Ragnos' Posse Tier

Tulak Hord Tier

Revan Tier

Bandon Tier

Exar Kun Tier

Obi-Wan Tier

A Bunch of Other People Tier

Everyone Else Tier

Sidious Tier.

Barriss Offee is a fun, interesting character, and I love the Medstar duology, but she barely becomes a knight before she's slain. Likewise, Luminara has some highlights but she's mainly depicted for her composure and wisdom, not her badassery. Obi-Wan, despite being an epic hero and general, is not the most powerful in any sense. And he is still my favorite of all time. Same goes with Qui-Gon. He's mentioned offhand to be quite powerful, although Maul undoes him eventually. It's the personalities I'm drawn to with Jedi, not their 'tier' or 'asskicking potential'. Yoda is obviously on a plane of his own in the PT. No one approaches him on the Jedi side since his combined mastery of the Force and saber eclipses everyone else.

I meant where do you put Yoda next to the guys you think are the strongest?

The top tier of the PT Jedi/Sith (Marek, Palpatine, Vader, Mace, Yoda) can compete with any from any era. The rest as Janus said, are fodder.

The average PT Jedi would be crushed effortlessly by the average TOR Jedi?

I didn't say "crushed" or "effortlessly". I think the average TOR Jedi are more powerful than the average PT Jedi.

Well you did say fodder.

Ok. Who wins between the TOR Sith empire and the Galacgic Empire?

Tough one. The GE has, I believe, overwhelming numbers as well as improved technology. The Sith Empire has thousands upon thousands of force users, and if you give them the Dread Masters, it might be closer than you think.

Who would you favor?

Well. The Dread Masters alone were bringing an already dissolving Sith Empire down. The GE doesn't have that many force users. I think it would be a damn near equal battle but the GE's technological superiority and overwhelming numbers still favor it.. SLIGHTLY.

Yoda would be up there, I think. Yoda is exceptional in his own era, so much better than everyone else it raises the bar unreasonably high. Average PT Jedi versus average TOR/TOTJ/NSW Jedi? Inexperience with Makashi, limited war experience. Smaller diversity of Force powers. Doesn't look reasonable. Yoda has the combo of saber skills and raw Force power to hold his own with top-tier other generations, I believe.

I see. Lets say all the Force users on both sides sat it out. Militarily, which is superior?
