Lol. Okay...I didn't hate the Ewoks for their cuteness. I hated them for HOW they took down the Imperial forces...it was just shit. Really undermined the Rebellion. Might as well just recruit a planet full of Ewoks 'cause clearly they're more efficient than normal soldiers....
The rest of ROTJ was great though.

Lucas originally had that final battle on Kashyyyk with an army of Wookies assisting the Rebels. But wanted to make it more kid-friendly, so we got hairy stone-age midgets.

I only recall them managing to take down two AT-STs. Sure, stormtrooper armour isn't great, but even modern body armour would have trouble with arrows.

2) Kevlar would easily stop what the Ewoks were using. They were also physically dominating the Imperial soldiers in melee combat....it was a sad showing.

Having the ewoks get utterly annihilated every time they were on scene would have been stupid too. So I think two is a fine number.
Kevlar is designed to stop bullets more than blades. Even if you account for the weakness of the Ewoks (which, to be fair, can't be that bad considering how they must hunt), I still don't think it's outside the realm of possibility.
Like I said, I don't think it's completely out of the question that some ewoks could take down some troopers. I just think going to either extreme is silly.
There's no ****ing excuse for the clubs and sticks though.
