while I don't think she's Luke's daughter, I wouldn't be surprised if she was, and Luke had pulled an Obi-Wan, hiding her on Jakku so Snoke couldn't find her etc.
That's what I assumed tbh.
I also think he probably

gave her some training as a child which she'd forgotten but it was in her sub-conscious waiting to be unlocked.
So the fight she was in could make some sense.

I'm more concerned with how exactly Kylo Renw as able to kill all of Luke's other Padawan. Unlike RoTS where Anakin had an opening and Clone army to support his kid massacre, I'm not sure how Kylo Ren manage to do as much damage as he did an get away with it w/o Luke doing anything about it.
TFA could use a Prequel tbh.
Will probably happen in comic or novel form though.
Spoiler:
I actually like how the fight goes a lot. For me this is a return to the OT, Jedi were never made to be unstoppable tanks in the first three movies. They were skilled people and had slight magical abilities. But with the PT a Jedi has become worth hundreds of soldiers in a fight. I always liked the OT's level more, and am glad that it looks like TFA, while doing some pretty crazy stuff, like stopping a blaster bolt or completely holding Rey, on the whole didn't make it seem like Jedi's are gods.

There were 5 trailers before this movie in my theater. Zootopia, BvS, Xmen-A, Teenage mutant ninja turtles and Civil War.TMNT and Civil War got the most lively reactions , followed by Zootopia.

Spoiler:
Maybe Palpatine's daughter but Snoke seems above such human pleasantries as sex. I'd like it to be the daughter of Palpatine's Tories love affair with some high priced whore.

if they said that, I would be more forgiving, sure.
Spoiler:
Look, guys... Rey is NOT a Skywalker. Remember, this is also a reboot as well as a continuation. Rey is a way out of the Skywalker family and into a larger universe. And why not: the PT was crawling with Force sensitive beings that were no Skywalkers. Rey is just another. She may carry on the Skywalker teachings, but I am sure she is NO Skywalker at all.
In fact, I would be very disappointed if she were. Cuz if she were I would have liked to know that in TFA, not later. Not another 'Leia-is-my-sister' moment please. There are already too many of this weird connections. Anakin made 3PO, R2 belonged to Luke mother, Leia is his sister etc etc... blah blah blah.
So no, I doubt with the PT in mind, the creators of TFA, didn't have a family connection in mind for her.

I would agree, but that

****ing line Luke says in the trailer about the force being strong in his family just makes me wonder.
If it's to throw people off, that's cool too.

Well, if you take that text literally, I could ALSO apply to others. It doesn't have to beSpoiler:
family related. He could be referring to Kylo Ren... Leia and he could be saying: you're not related but you have that power too.
I kinda wish we could bypass rogue one. I'm sure it'll be good and interesting but it pales in comparison to the trilogies.

sounds good to me. just worried about it being a possibility.
Spoiler:
My biggest problem with Rey being a Skywalker is I don't think he would giver her to a guy who treats her little better than a slave. However, there is a pretty cool theory I read that Kylo was the one who left Rey on Jakku.
I think it's funny that alot of you take such issues with things like Rey's

abilities. She could very well be the most powerful Jedi ever. Does that mean that she might be able to "sense" how to do things other Jedi's need vast training for? Maybe. Also, someone had to learn these things FIRST. In other words, the very first Jedi must have been powerful enough to just "learn" things. I'm not as upset about Rey as I am about the Starkiller base.A) It was completely unoriginal.
B) It was destroyed.....Like, I wouldn't have been as annoyed with it if it had lived through the movie. Anyway....

Prime Jedi were made to be pretty much unstoppable to a degree. That is what Lucas (the creator ) gave us in the PT. By showing them like this , its clear that was his vision of them, not what us fans think it should be.
Im pretty sure the saber battles in the OG trilogy would have been different if he could have remade them. And it could be argued that the OT duels were fought by past their prime jedi/siths or noob jedi's. Thats why they were less "exciting".Anyhow...
I find it dumb that Finn was able to hold his own against Kylo for a few reasons.
- Kylo was shown to block/dodge/stop blaster fire. Surely he can avoid or dodge a untrained non force users strikes.
- Kylo was at least trained a bit in light saber combat and the force. And had actual practice with both.
- Kylo was force sensitive, meaning his reflexes and reactions, precog are above a non force user.
- Finn is not force sensitive
- Finn wasnt some elite storm trooper. He was basically a janitor. All this makes that fight pretty stupid, even if Kylo was injured.
Rey beating a injured Kylo I can forgive, because she is force sensitive.
