- Finn wasnt some elite storm trooper. He was basically a janitor.

All this makes that fight pretty stupid, even if Kylo was injured.

Rey beating a injured Kylo I can forgive, because she is force sensitive.

Not sure what your gripe is though.
Spoiler:
Finn "holding his own" means he got his ass kicked so bad he was unconscious the rest of the movie? Finn wanted to kill Kylo, instead he got wrekt. I'm not sure I'd call that holding his own. Rey was really the only one to match Kylo the entire movie. And she was force sensitive in a big way.

Spoiler:
I forget what movie they say that only a Jedi can wield a light saber properly. Meaning the user wont cut off his own limbs.
My point wasnt that Finn won the fight. Im aware he lost. BUT Finn did end up injuring Kylo, and blocking more than a few strikes from him. Something that shouldn't have happened from a non force user.
You know because of above human reflexes, precog, reaction, force powers, etc.
And that he was just a maintenance/janitor Storm Trooper

There were 5 trailers before this movie in my theater. Zootopia, BvS, Xmen-A, Teenage mutant ninja turtles and Civil War.

TMNT and Civil War got the most lively reactions , followed by Zootopia.

out here I saw these trailers as well as Kung Fu Panda 3 and a Deadpool snippet..

definitely people were clapping and reacting to Civil War a whole lot..

if these "Titanic" size numbers hold up watch out...

Spoiler:
Finn is most likely force sensitive but just doesn't know it yet.. He should in ep 8.

My only major complaint is

Spoiler:
Han's death was so nonchalant. Nobody even mentioned his name after the battle was won, and Chewie just casually walked past Leia as if nothing even happened. Han's death should have been more meaningful, IMO.

I understand to a degree, but
Spoiler:
honestly, just because he's a Sith in training doesn't mean that Kylo is a great swordsman. All Jedi are different in their strengths/weaknesses. Some Jedi are more powerful with the force, others are better duelists. It all depends. Kylo obviously wasn't the greatest duelist. What made him badass were his uses of the force. He should have done more of THAT. He force rag-dolled Rey and then decided not to use that again....THAT'S what I take issue with.

Spoiler:
IMO it was more meaningful to Rey because it was the first time she saw someone die at the hands of Kylo/Ben and it set the stage for Rey to realize her power in the force

I agree. One of the few gripes I have as well.

Oh, go to the SW section to discuss this. The spoiler tags drive me nuts. There's a thread there where we can discuss using spoilers openly.

Yeah, probably. Or maybe he killed them when Luke was busy on a special mission or doing something else.

Nah, I think it's the same hand. The only difference is Luke was wearing a glove in the OT.

Hm, are you sure? I know he wore a glove, but still, wasn't this his new hand?:

Lol, I don't remember that scene. Maybe it did get chopped off again, or maybe they just went with a new mechanical hand for this movie.

the flesh on his mech hand was burned when he got shot in the beginning of RotJ, so he wore a glove since.

Watched this movie a second time. Still loving it. Great return to the series. Can't wait for Ep. 8 🙂

going for a second viewing in an hour, in 2d.

Outstanding movie

Ok. What a noob though right, getting shot.

I had 7 trailers attached to mine, even Fantastic Beasts. People clapped during the Wonder Woman reveal and laughed during Zootopia.

Loved the movie, BTW. Had an old school feel to it. 2 movies in a row that had a throw back feel. Krampus and now Star Wars. I might say this is on even footing with NH and ESB. Actually, better than ESB.

DC fans love Star Wars.

Even superman wishes he could get his hands on a lightsaber.
