Spoiler:Look at how pathetic Vader is when he finds out Padme died. That's beyond embarrassing. Best part is how the emperor just smirks as he just lied to the idiot.
He just killed his father so he was emotionally a little off. He still fought through it. Amazing.

do a Jedi Mind trick without any training? I'm just going to Assume she had training as a child, otherwise they've screwed up the whole concept of training. So I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming there was loads of training in her subconscious.

Really now? Color me shocked. The Force must be used. Harry Potter didn't beat Voldemort because magic chose him to beat Voldemort. Likewise Vader didn't beat Luke in Empire because the Force chose for him to win. The Force didn't block out the Jedi's ability to see the future, Sidious did.
And the Force did not pick Rey over Ben. She's simply better at using it as shown in more than one scene. Is she the Chosen One? Is she Luke's daughter? Doesn't really matter. She's better than Ben and that's all that really matters. Assuming the Force weirdly picked Rey to win in this one instance is as silly as Anakin destroying an army at age 10. Chalk it up to raw natural talent and bad writing.

I'd love for a girl to be the most powerful Jedi. That'd be really cool. Just get her thereSpoiler:preferably.
with training
Spoiler:Someone had to be the first Jedi/Sith. SO, obviously learning things through the force is completely possible without training. Who's to say that she can't? She's obviously powerful enough with the force to beat Kylo, who has had training and shown to use the force in interesting ways.
Also, I don't even think that's the case. She probably did have training at some point, but everyone is just dismissing it because a girl beat a sith wannabe.

if kylo had sprouted green tentacles and raped rey with them, it would have been japan's #1 opening weekend of all time.

Maul so far. Ren's looks pretty badass but have yet to see the film

Go see it. ^_^Um....ROTJ is my favorite film but I much prefer blue to green(because it compliments my favorite color). So I'll take Luke's blue lightsaber.

Yep. I'm clearly a guy who considers my opinion better than the opinions of others. 👆
I did not like the movie because of several reasons, mostly due to the writing. The same applies for why I don't think the prequels are particularly good flicks(and TFA is at least better than two of them). I am not obligated to like a movie nor is anyone obligated to dislike it simply because of my own gripes with it. I went with 3 other people, half of us liked it, half of us didn't.
Also it is cute that my questions of the Force correlate to Star Wars not being my cup of tea. Neat way to be dismissive of complaints. Next you'll be telling me little Ani's wooden acting is because a human born from the Force is bound to be weird.

It's my assumption as well that she

someone had to be the first Jedi theory. These things are not developed by one person. No one woke up one day and became the very first martial artist. It's many people developing and learning more over the generations, until it one day becomes this faction called the Jedi.
Originally posted by Darth ThorYah, NO. You're completely wrong. We are not hive minded beings. Ideas don't come to multiple people at the same time. There was one Davinci. There was one Einstein. There was one Tesla. Also, this is the Force; you know, a FICTIONAL entity that isn't tied down to what you want to believe. The fact that people are so up in arms about Rey only proves it's grounded in sexism. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Force is fictional and to try and put it in a box is just silly. Far sillier, in fact, than what Rey did in the movie.

Spoiler:
I would be able to accept that if Kylo Ren wasn't hampered at all making it to where Finn&Rey were or wasn't still capable of KO'ing Finn and force pushing Ren into a tree. While I also think Rey using the Jedi Mind Trick was silly, that one is more forgivable considering how enjoyable it was to watch.
