I don't, you got a problem with that, buddy?

Wanna fight about it?

Sure. Why not?

I saw it without the vibe of an over excited audience...namely half a cinema of audience whom most seemed to have seen it already.
Without that sense of excitement in the cinema, I walked away enjoying the film but not overwhelmed or thinking it was beyond criticism.

The wide-eyed audience during the premiere had a synergistic effect that let me enjoy the film more. Then again once I started to think about after getting away from said audience the movie wasn't as overly stellar.

Funny enough I saw it 5 days after the premier & was surprised that the cinema was only half full.

It was fairly packed where i am..when i went to see.

If it can make $500mill in China that will help it's chances A Lot.

Maybe not.
The OT was never screened in China back in the 80's & 90's due to China's closed door policy of The West.
Apparently Hollywood has hired 500 Storm Troopers at China's premier to boost the hype.

Well The Disney marketing machine keeps inflating the recognition of this franchise.

Opened to $33 mill on Saturday. That's Disneys biggest Opening in China.

Be interesting to know how much was spent on marketing alone in China.

A Lot.

It's funny how 80% (rough guess) of the merchandise is made in China & they don't even understand what the hype's all about.

Lol Disney will make them understand.

Good luck explaining BB8 Anal Beads & Chewie Flesh Lights.

Man, I swear I had 10 BB8's.
I'm missing 3 of the buggers.

500 Stormtroopers on the Chinese Wall, in fact.

Disney is so damn good at marketing.

"The bare bones of it." Just as many have said there is a clear parallel superficial connection to the first film but it's just the bare bones of it.

Well... a planet destroying planet machine is not bare bones. Nor is flying down a trench to destroy it.

JJ's bare bones have got some more flesh on it.

It's all about boners & narrow trenches for Quan.

Close yer eyes & use the force eh Quan.

I think every Star Wars fan should watch this:
