During a panel at Star Wars Celebration, Abrams revealed that the desert world in The Force Awakens is actually a new planet, pronounced "Jakku." Wait for an official release on the spelling, folks, but that's how you pronounce it according to Abrams and Ridley.

They could live for 1000 years, still doesn't explain why the new chewie looks younger than all the previous versions of chewie we have seen on the big screen.
Granted it was a short clip of him, but that's what it appears from that clip.

Why features make the Chewie we see in the new preview look younger than Chewie from Ep6?

Fur is darker a bit more reddish, his eyes also seem different. Smaller a bit asian.
Like I said it may be the lighting.

Is the chewie CGI in any way in the new movie?

I think bobas origin in the prequels was more than enouph for a character that had less than 10 minutes of screen time in the original trilogy.
Han Solo, lando , wedge antilles, dooku , qui gon are all better options to make a solo film about than a minor backround character like bobba.

^ I'm beginning to think more and more that Disney is making these new movies for all the 40 year old hardcore fans of the Original trilogy.

That's a mistake Imo. It should attract those audiences as well as fans of the Prequels. But it's main job should be to attract a whole new generation of youngsters. That's if they want the SW Movie brand to be as successful as the Marvel movie brand.

An Ahsoka movie > all.

They could always use some of the stories from the Dark Horse Comics.........yeah yeah Disney has said EU no longer exists. But it seems they're choosing certain things from the EU and using them.
