Here's this dude who looks badass - a helmet visage comparable to Vader. He cradles his rifle like Clint Eastwood in the Dollars trilogy, and among a chorus of the greatest galactic bounty hunters - is expressly pointed out to Vader who has to tell him not to VAPORIZE one of the main characters. His voice at the time was grizzled, rough. Irritated. It was beneath him to nearly respond.

His ship was badass, he blasts at Luke and takes Han to one of the biggest crimelords around.

Admittedly, his death is awful.

But the character - what little we saw - was intriguing. It's what caused people to be interested in him in the Expanded Universe to begin with.

So am I, really. I can understand the outrage at his chump-ass death in RotJ and how poorly he didn't live up to the reputation from ESB. But I cannot understand the continue wank over Boba Fett now that we know he's not all the great even against a poorly trained Luke Skywalker.

Actually it was a blind Han Solo that ultimately wrecked Boba. In a comical fashion too.

I never understood the Boba Fett fan wanking. There's nothing remarkable about his character. In fact, a much better case can be made for him being an over-exaggerated bounty hunter that had lack-luster skills (movies only).

Nah Maul has a really interesting back story. Coming from a clan of Force Witches, then being taken away at a young age from Palpatine to be trained as a pure evil bad ass force wielder.

They could do a story where they show all that but then as he's older Talzin comes back for him like in one of the novels.

Sounds pretty boring TBH. If we get a Maul film, I'd much rather it be set after TCW and about whatever antics happen there.
