It's compared to Star Trek because both have space ships, and have the name STAR. But that's pretty much where the similarities end.

Star Trek's 100% Sci-Fi. SW is maybe a 50/50 Sci-fi and Fantasy mix. Although I personally see it as more Fantasy. Because it's not a story that has to take place in Space, or in a Sci-Fi setting. It just makes it cooler for doing so.

Again it has both. You're basically being dramatic since I said it has both elements. You crying over its more fantasy than Sci Fi is pathetic. Grow up.

Fincher has one of the most impressive set of films of any director ever.

Fight Club
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Se7en
Gone Girl
Zodiac
The Social Network
The Game
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Alien 3
Panic Room.

These directors don't get me like Abrams does.

Abrams is the only director who should make movies. Duh..

No, but when it comes to sci Fi everyone else better get the **** out of the way.

Star Wars, at least the OT, has always been more fantasy than traditional sci fi. The core of the story after all, is a young farmboy learning to become a wizard/knight so that he can defeat the evil sorcerer and his black knight.

👆

Ares gets it.

Your clear lack of understanding of what SW is makes your bandwagoning onto SW even funnier.

Thankfully I'm sure Abrams understands the difference between sic-fi and fantasy.

It clearly has both and the ot isn't the only set of Star Wars films. I get that they will ignore the explanations of the prequels for the force powers thus returning it to more of a mystical nature but it's clearly both, nerd. You just seem like a troll; hell bent on arguing over a difference of an option when the series has clearly always had both genres.

People don't compare Star Wars to Lotr they compare it to Star Trek, kiddo.

Abrams will have both elements and he will deliver as I predicted.

Abrams has a long way to go before he is considered a elite director.

Even admitting it's both makes it a very different franchise to Star Trek. Face facts and move on.

LOL Midi-Chlorians didn't take away from the mystical aspect of The Force.

Yes you should listen to the SW nerd, because you don't get it.

Dumb people like you think they're the same thing.

And people do compare LOTR to Star Wars.

Of course he has to have both aspects Dummy.

You will Bandwagon either way, just like you did with Terminator Genysis 😂

So is the reason for quan's bandwagon for SW due to the new villain or because Abrams is directing it?

Either way I guess this movie will further advance Disney's rise to supreme overlord of the masses.

I only worry about if this new version can be good and attractive as those old versions.

Not a surprise to me at all..

Spoiler:
Luke lives

Kinda has to, as he's going to wipe the floor with Kylo's face

Nope.

Spoiler:

Lol Quan is going to throw a fit.

Both. He loves Abrams and Kylo will be his new Khan.
