Toph vs. Katara

All the ice katara has used never was used t"strong enough to break earth from what i can remember but if you can show me ill acknowledge it.

Look at the examples above in my last post plenty of characters in other shows have done the same and they are just as smart if not smarter than her.

Why is it impossible for katara to fight on a beach the water would still be close enough for her to bend.

All those characters decided close combat was the only option to win why cant katara do the same

A stone wall? No. But with persistence I don't see why not. Especially since we know water can slice stone in multiple pieces.

Hama sliced stone in like three pieces with ease. And we all know Katara > Hama.

If it was this situation where their opponent can only see when they are on the ground, and they were on the ocean, I doubt they're so stupid as to go on land.

Because Toph could see her, and then Katara would lose. I've already stated this multiple times. The only was I can see Katara winning is via the ocean, and Katara is intelligent enough to recognize the advantage the ocean would give her, and the disadvantage it would give Toph.

Dude think about it would take katara a while to break through ONE wall. Imagine how long it would take her to get to toph if she were to keep erecting new walls one after another.

Close combat is kataras only option to win. If she sits out in the ocean there she would be attacking wall after wall until she gets tired. It would literally be like talking to the wall. she wouldnt be getting anywhere by attacking from the ocean

The way I see it, is that Toph can't win because Katara would go into the ocean. Thus having no way to attack. So if anyone has a chance of winning, it'd be Katara.

Katara would be attacking to no avail she wouldnt get anywhere. If anything it would be a stalemate. If she were to fight long distance.

It'd be worse if she fought from close range. But, yeah, I see a stalemate.

Which bolsters my point that katara cant beat toph

It doesn't bolster your point that Toph can beat Katara.

Yes it does because on even terms toph would win even you just acknowledged that.

Sitting out on an ocean is not even terms. Fighting on a beach where both have easy access to there elements is.

One could even argue that katara would eventually tire herself out while on the ocean and drown. Its possible because sitting there spammin attacks to no avail would def use up a considerable amount of energy. She is human after all

Katara wouldn't drown, are you freaking serious? Lets just say she gets extremely tired, she could make ice to stand on. Duh.

I did have it on even terms. It's on a rocky environment, with an ocean nearby. Katara is smart enough to know that Toph can only see her when she is on land, so she makes the connection to go in the ocean. Therefore, Toph can't see her.

Apprantly to you ice lasts forever even when in contact with salty materials

Beach does not equal ocean

Your agument is in order to beat toph she would have to be in the ocean.

Yes. I think if she couldn't do what I've been saying she'd eventually lose.

She could give Toph a good fight if she didn't have a good enough source of water, i.e. ocean, lake, etc. but eventually she would lose, IMO. You act as though Katara using an ocean or lake to her advantage is unfair. It's called tactical ingenuity.

I think you made a good point about the walls, which is why I think round 2 would be a stalemate, when before I thought Katara.

Starting a fight where she is on an ocean tips it in her favor from gate that isnt fair.

It wouldnt even be a fight if she went onto the ocean honestly. Toph has more ways to win then katara does anyway. The best katara can do is stalemate with her from long distance. While from close range you yourself admitted toph would beat her

Overall toph beats katara more times than katara does beats her in this scenario anyway
