Tony knows Bucky was a war hero that was kidnapped and brainwashed though. Like I said, I can understand his anger, he still wasn't the least bit right in his actions. It's not like Bucky was an assassin by choice and just had a change of heart like Black Widow...
Well, to be fair, Black Widow didn't really choose to be what she was. But I agree.
Spoiler:
Tony wasn't right for wanting to Kill Bucky. But I can't blame his anger or the fact he emotionally lost it.

She didn't choose to become an assassin, but she chose to remain one until she finally had a change of heart and rebelled.

Spoiler:
Well yea, I've been saying that since my first post. I feel like once he cooled down he realized how wrong he was too. I think he was more mad at himself than Bucky.

Why the hell would a secret organization keep evidence of an assassination? You still haven't given a clear reason.

Multiple reasons:

Spoiler:
#1: The Winter Soldier program was an experiment and they archived operations for clinical study to review how the subject operated in the field.

#2: Since at the time of the assassination HYDRA was embedded in SHIELD they likely kept the footage locked for safe keeping since they are a sleeper organization within the world's premiere intelligence organization. They couldn't have an actual SHIELD operative go out investigating the area for evidence that Howard Stark's death was anything more than a car accident so they confiscated and archived everything related to the truth of the incident.

#3: It's been established in both of the Captain America sequels as well as the Agents of SHIELD tv show that both SHIELD and HYDRA (pre and post SHIELD infiltration) keep archival footage of practically all of their operations, as well as being able to patch into surveillance equipment globally. Computerized Arnim Zola even brought up various archival clips in his scene in the bunker in TWS and he was the top scientist in HYDRA/SHIELD. The whole overall plot of TWS, besides the reveal Bucky was alive as a HYDRA super soldier, was HYDRA/Zola's plan to use global surveillance and automated Helicarriers to take out threats worldwide.

It's not like HYDRA had any reason to hide documentation of their missions anyway, it's not like they have some benign entity that oversees them that they need to hide stuff from.

So, what do you guys think

Spoiler:
Cap dropping his shield represents at the end of Civil War? Do you think he's going to just go by Steve Rogers like he did in the comics for a while? Is he going to be shield-less? If so who takes the shield? Falcon? Bucky's on ice so......hmmm. Not sure what to make of the ending.
Can't wait to watch it again tomorrow with my Sister's family and friends.

Didn't Zola just up and tell Captain America and Black Widow HYDRA's plans just for finding him. Seems more like confidence in their organization than negligence on any particular personnel. Also since SHIELD had been compromised and records of everything were public

Spoiler:
it only would've been a matter of time before Zemo found what he wanted to take his revenge anyway.

Well the files wouldn't have had the video of WS killing Tony's parents.

Yah, as others have said I didn't have a problem with Zemo for the most part.
Spoiler:
I just didn't like his reasoning. Him being just some guy that lost his family in Sokovia cheapens his "COMIC" character by a lot. That being said, as far as his role in the movie? He was fine. In fact, I'm GLAD he was what he was. That gave us more time to chew on the Tony vs Steve fight. And what a fight that was. While I didn't like the fact Steve was holding his own against IM for as long as he did, the emotions of the fight were real and EARNED. I genuinely was near man tears as I watched these 2 icons duke it out and felt for both of them.

Steve would fight to the death for his FRIEND who he knows was a victim and Bucky ALWAYS stood up for Steve. "Even when I had nothing I had Bucky".

Tony was hurt and betrayed that Cap KNEW that Winter Soldier murdered his parents; more importantly his Mom. Tony suppressed his guilt over the way their last moments went for years and to find out that Winter Soldier was the man responsible....he was going to kill Bucky. But you can't blame him.

Both men were right and both men were wrong at the same time. It was a duel that was fantastic in both it's choreography and it's ideology.

Black Widow found out the same time as Steve about the Winter Soldier's role in Howard Stark's assassination, in the previous Cap film. I wonder what he would do to her if he knew she knew as well.

Then again, Natasha is the super secretive spy, while Tony knew Cap as the most open of guys, so it's different.

With the positive reviews and word of mouth this should crack 200 million.

I mean we have Iron Man AND Spider-Man in this one. 💃

Tobey Maquire is the real Spider-Man.

In my opinion of course.

Dawn of Justice had the 2 highest grossing comic characters of all time and failed to crack $170 million. It's no guarantee that it's going to break even $180 million. That being said I'll be pretty surprised if it doesn't manage to crack it.

Ummm Spider-Man and Iron Man are the two highest grossing of all time are they not?

I think he means in print, not just in film media.

Spidey out grosses all of them combined if that's the case.

No, batman and Superman have sold the most comics of all time. Spider-man is third.

Well that may be because they have like 20 years on Spidey. Currently Spider-Man is the top dog by a long shot....a very long shot.

Now if you're talking boxoffice Spider-Man and Iron Man are the top dogs.

Yah, I dunno about that. I'll look into it. Last I checked Batman was still #1.

Either way, my point is Iron Man and Spider-Man don't guarantee an instant record-setter. I still think this movie will make $1 billion-ish. Just not sure it's going to get to Avengers numbers.

Quanchi showed me a link that says Spider-Man makes like 1.3 billion per year while Batman is a distant second with like 500 million followed by Superman.

Link me directly to any agency keeping footage of a documented assassination. 😐

Someone's been watching a few too many movies
