I honestly don't think it's fair to classify it as being a standalone Cap film. It is more a Cap film than an Avengers film, yes, but I know people that had their mind made up the minute they knew RDJ was going to be in it. That man is an absolutely huge draw even today, and when you add in the rest of the characters, I'm not surprised it's doing the money it is.

Imagine if it had Aquaman in it.

Standalone Cap movie?

That's almost funny.

It is a Cap movie.

Bucky Bucky Bucky Bucky Bucky Bucky

Bucky Bucky Bucky Bucky Bucky Bucky

Bucky Bucky Bucky Bucky Bucky Bucky

And some still argue it's not a Cap movie 😂

Was BvS a Superman or Batman movie?

this will tap out at or around $ 1.2 billion worldwide, imo

also are folks still butthurt over whether or not this is a Cap film??

so isn't Batman v Superman: Batman's Bitches a standalone Batman film that features a horrible version of Superman, a good character in Diana who wasn't really needed and decrepit and not needed cameos from Flash, Cyborg and no talent Momoa as Waterboy, Aquaman

That movie had both their names in the title also had Dawn of Justice in the title.

I guess Deadpool was an X-Men movie because colossus and teenage megasonic sonic warhead was in it 😬

Legs are better than BvS, even though this is a Cap movie not an Avengers one and that Spiderman wasnt advertised much. Also having tougher competition than BvS had in the weeks released.

Legs are not that bad.

It dropped like a rock OS. plus SM was seen by pretty much everyone who was interested already. The awareness was sky-high after the trailer revealed SM at the end.

Well Batman did have the most action and screen time. And he didn't lose a fight so...

Yeah, most people who I know that saw this, was because of Iron Man and Spider-Man. Cap was overshadowed by them even though it was supposed to be a standalone Cap movie

So what was it?

Justice League?

Eh, at its heart it's still primarily a Cap story. It just takes place during larger events.

No but it had all their names on it. Batman, Superman and Justice League nods to characters like Wonder Woman , Flash and Aquaman.

Thats like if Civil war was named : "Captain America Vs Ironman : Avengers-Civil War"

BvS and Civil War were both DC and Marvel Event films.

I mean Civil War basically was Cap vs IM. And even involved Team Cap vs Team IM. Bucky was the main reason for the fight.

Cap was the main character in Civil War but it certainly wasn't a Cap "standalone" film.

Yes, he was. Cap was hardly the best part of the movie. BP was cooler. 😛
