I honestly don't think it's fair to classify it as being a standalone Cap film. It is more a Cap film than an Avengers film, yes, but I know people that had their mind made up the minute they knew RDJ was going to be in it. That man is an absolutely huge draw even today, and when you add in the rest of the characters, I'm not surprised it's doing the money it is.
Imagine if it had Aquaman in it.

so isn't Batman v Superman: Batman's Bitches a standalone Batman film that features a horrible version of Superman, a good character in Diana who wasn't really needed and decrepit and not needed cameos from Flash, Cyborg and no talent Momoa as Waterboy, Aquaman

Legs are better than BvS, even though this is a Cap movie not an Avengers one and that Spiderman wasnt advertised much. Also having tougher competition than BvS had in the weeks released.Legs are not that bad.
It dropped like a rock OS. plus SM was seen by pretty much everyone who was interested already. The awareness was sky-high after the trailer revealed SM at the end.
