Cap was the main character in Civil War but it certainly wasn't a Cap "standalone" film.
It's not performing like a standalone movie, either. At least at the box office. Even though spider-man was marketed late, there was still a lot of hype for him waaay before the movie even came out and Sony made the deal with Disney.
