So, you're saying the Avengers and Spider-Man didn't help the box office? Come on, man, stop being an moron.
stop crying because Batman v Superman was a crappy failure.

Are ppl still arguing if this Cap movie or something?

Haters say it isn't aka Darth Thor and Golgo.

Chris has made Cap way more popular to the mainstream.

He is nearly RDJ levels for me.

Chris has done a great job, and I agree with Pr that he's improved a lot since he started as well.

But in terms of Cap's mainstream popularity, I'd honestly credit the Russo's with that more than anyone else. As it seemed when Avengers 1 came out Cap was probably the least popular of the Core 4 Avengers. Nowadays though it seems he's right behind IM in popularity.

I proclaims the Russos as being great directors and here you come aping me you ridiculous little tool. Get off my jock and form your own opinions.

Sadly yes. Dank Helmet and Golgosaur are 2 peas in a pod. They're so upset at BvS's failure that they're doing their best to try and belittle or discredit Cap 3 as much as they can. Dank Helmet is notorious for ragging on a movie years after it's release like a spiteful little kid. Golgo is just an upset Yesman for DC/WB that is required to do the deed.

What the heck? I'm trying to discredit Cap 3? I've outright said it's possibly my favorite comic book movie of all time, and in fact I'm one of the few people who've said that. Neither Backsdown112 or Troll CPT gave the film that much credit.

Fact is though it was a Marvel event film on top of being a Cap film.

And LOL at it being me and Golgo who are the only ones to say so:

Standalone Cap movie?

That's almost funny.

I honestly don't think it's fair to classify it as being a standalone Cap film. It is more a Cap film than an Avengers film, yes, but I know people that had their mind made up the minute they knew RDJ was going to be in it. That man is an absolutely huge draw even today, and when you add in the rest of the characters, I'm not surprised it's doing the money it is.

Maybe because the movie's plot revolves around an increasing rift in the team ultimately causing them to split?

I think it is Avengers 2.5 and I don't think that's a bad thing in the slightest.

^ Note the underlined part in Quincy's comments which the fanboys and haters don't get.

I've also repeatedly stated this is a far better movie than BvS, and feel it deserves to make more money than the Avenger films.

But nice attempt by Troll CPT to make out I'm some sort of butt hurt DC Fanboy taking my hate out on Marvel. I think it's clear who the fanboys are here. Hint- They're the ones who don't understand someone might like both Marvel AND DC, and they're the most defensive over issues there's not even anything to be defensive about.

I'm probably actually a bigger Marvel fan than both Backsdown112 and Troll CPT. I'm just not a Blind Fanboy like them, and allow myself to be a fan of other properties as well Lol.

I honestly don't see what's the difference.

It's a Cap movie, I think we've ALL agreed to that.

What point is there to mention whether or not it's JUST a Cap movie. I mean what possible relevant point does that make? What difference does it make? Why are ppl even arguing it?

This is literally, without a doubt the most petty, useless, dumb, pointless, meaningless and biggest waste of time I've ever seen in these forums and that is saying a lot cuz I've seen topics discussing some pretty strange shit.

Sorry if that seems harsh but: What. The. Hell. Man?

And that's not speaking of DT or Golgo but everyone involved. I mean Jesus Christ guys, can't we just, you know congratulate the movie on its success and enjoy it and look forward to the next movies down the line?

I mean seriously.

^ I think someone pointed out that this thread was bored of talking about how great the movie was so had to find something to argue about instead Lol

Please man. Staahpp.

This discussion is making me want to pull my hair out. And I'm almost 40 and my hair is thinning.

Don't make me go bald. Doooon't..!

I'm beggin here.

Edit. Ok, rant over. Gonna hit the gym and hoping this conversation converts to something meaningful.

Maybe theories like: "Hey! Maybe they'll try and connect Cap with BP by going with the: the SSS is a synthetic version of whatever process BP goes thru to get his enhanced stats, would tie in the story quite well (tho kinda drifts away from the comic)."

Cool stuff like that. Yeah. /hint!hint!

As I've said many times. This IS Captain America's movie. Period.

Now, it also stars Avengers in it. It's also fair to say it's an event film. It's all of the above. It's going to be the third part in Captain America's trilogy; it really doesn't matter what certain people want.

😂

Dt loves DC more than marvel so he will try his best to discredit it.

Uh...what?! also I know its been brought up before but General/Secretary Ross is a bit too mellow when addressing the fact that the Hulk is missing.

Also with the Avengers going at it, I wonder what are all the Netflix heroes doing in the background.

Yeah would have loved him to lose his cool a bit when talking about the Hulk.

Same as usual. The Avengers issues are above their level of concern.

Although after watching the AOS episode that brought in the Civil War issue, they expanded on the accords that it meant the registering of all "super powered beings". So that would include Daredevil, JJ and Luke Cage.

So it really should effect them.

That's kind of boring though as I would've figured that some security force would at least send a recon team into Hell's Kitchen to address all of the abnormal things going on due to the Netflix heroes. At least more abnormal than what usually goes over there.

Does anyone know if there will be any more Cap movies?

There's three unnamed films after Infinity Wars p2 (2019), but it's not likely one is a Cap film.

You'll see Cap in Infinity Wars though.

There will be, now whether it is Evans again or Stan remains to be seen
