That is as straight forward as it gets. They are equals as the scan clearly illustrates. In marvel amongst the top tier heroes Hulk doesn't have an equal strength wise.

Exactly. He is confusing formidability with strength. I agree Superman gets the slight edge in a fight but in strength they are dead even. Canon proof.

Even an alternate Marvel aided Superman with 50 percent of the book feat proving it isn't just the mainstream Marvel who is equal to Superman IMO.

J'onn has more claim than everybody else to be Superman's equal in strength. Some scans.

Stated to be as fast, as strong and as tough by narration.

Again stated to be just as strong as Superman and Daxamites.

And I would laugh at anyone who thinks that's the case. Lip service is fine, here Superman states that he's the strongest being on earth.

Here Morgan Le Fay states him to be the strongest being on earth.

Not true. I do agree he is slightly more formidable thaN Marvel but strength wise they are dead even. Quit disagreeing with Superman.
