What's with all the name calling? This is just comics and fictional characters we're talking about here.
Anyway, going through those scans (and based on the comics I've read), Captain Marvel and Superman are peers in strength. Seriously though, I'm actually surprised that people think that Supes is clearly stronger than Billy, they've always been depicted as peers. Heck, even in the very recent Justice League #30, Billy asked for Superman and him to train together to find out who's stronger.
Statements like "you maybe the strongest" or "I maybe the strongest" etc are far from conclusive because of the qualifier "May or maybe".
And being peers in strength doesn't mean one can't beat the other every now and then. I can't beat the hell out of someone who's just as strong as I am, it depends on a number of factors including skill, mindset, aggression etc

Back in the precrisis days cap was at his best, even in the 80's and 90's he shined. The last 10 years minus dov marvel D.C. took one of the oldest super heros and reduced him to chicken fodder.
Cap couldn't even beat wonder woman theses days let alone kurse. cap is now a B-listed hero. I hate what D.C. did to him.

Imperiex hand is the stove, Superman is your hand? Stop masturbating. Anyway, Superman never touched the hand but the fire example is better, he was touched by the fire, like was was in the middle of the blast, he wasn't long enough in the fire/blast to get consumed. That was the point, no one ever said he tanked a full blast, no one, never. Get your facts straight. Just that he was hit by the blast, which he was. Simple as that.
