725 or so is where it will land WW. The drops for SS is getting less and less, which means it will have better legs than CW this year. If it was released in China, we're talking about 800 WW or so. And most people here thought it wouldn't do big numbers. 😂

^ It's funny I still see articles going on about that 2nd weekend drop as if that's at all relevant anymore. The film has proven it had staying power. The 2nd weekend drop was probably a reaction to bad reviews, but word of mouth from audiences seemed to have overpowered critics in the end.

I actually hate that this movie did so well cause u thought it was such a bad movie

And it is doing really well.

Not that surprising, to me at least. SS has more redeeming qualities to it than the other DCEU films thus far (though that's not saying much), so I figured it wouldn't be necessarily another flop. Glad it's doing well though and that something from DC managed to rise above the initial negativity, for once.

The other two DCEU movies weren't flops though. At least not in terms of the actual definition. BVS for example made over 200 million profit for WB and crushed the March OW record. MOS actually made more profit for WB. As of now, after 3 movies, DCEU has collected 2.2 Billion WW at the box office.

Not a valid comparison. Not only have the DCEU used their 3 biggest names to star in their first 2 movies, but the international market has also grown massively since those days.

Domestically though none of the DCEU films so far have sold as well as IM1 and IM2 (accounting for inflation). Shows what an outstanding achievement the Iron Man character/films really were for Marvel.

It might not have sold as well as IM 1 or 2, but it pretty much beats every other MCU film. In general, DCEU is doing fairly well, box office wise.

DC will do much better if they can finally make a good movie.

We have Dr. Strange coming out in a couple months and I have no doubts that movie will kick ass. DC took a step closer with Suicide Squad imo. I think Wonder Woman will be good.
