and frieza still won haha

Closure? Not really, imo. Freeza was ridiculously weakened by the time Vegeta stepped in.
He should have stole a senzu bean or something and then got murdered by Vegeta. That would have been something.

Though Frieza was still powerful, but it would have been better to have Vegeta straight up massacre a fp Frieza.

Also for Vegeta to die they would have had to retcon all the scenes of him breathing in space. Which it seems they did. Or we can always go with the "didn't see him die, not dead" thing...
That was kind of Vegeta's special ability though over Goku.

Didnt Whis say that Frieza was the only one alive because he could breath in space

but seriously they need to some how give Goku and Vegeta the ability to breath in space. They could make the battle that much more epic.

I thought it was pretty ooc of him. But thinking it over, this isn't Cell who did have a sense of honor.

Vegeta saw an opportunity to stick it to a liar, cheat, and the guy who enslaved his entire race, AND one up his rival who naively trusted him.

Even Bills was asking why they didn't just gang up on him, and he's pretty fair in a fight.

I think the only time Vegeta was ever shown breathing in space was in an anime filler scene. I don't remember him ever doing so in canon.

Goku was able to breath in space as of the last film... He and Beerus had a full-on battle/convo in space.

That he did

Since they're both full blooded Saiyans, they can't both be true. My money's on BoTG being the oversight, since Freeza's ability to survive in space was a specific plot point.

P.S., Goku blasted Vegeta up into space during the Saiyan Saga, where he had no trouble breathing and talking. 😱

Goku also went to the moon as a child. Never forget.

and still RoF makes it a point that they cant. Makes no sense ha

These kind of inconsistencies make watch these shows really bothersome

Yeah. This in particular is just such a ridiculously glaring inconsistency that it's hard to not be annoyed by it.

As a long time Traneformers.fan, you get used to it.

Autobots fly. Two episode later "Autobots can't fly!".

Return of Optimus Prime is pretty much a two part continuity error. 🙂

A few Spoilers from Resurrection 'F' (FUNimation dub)

*"Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan" was a name attributed to the new, blue-haired form after the movie debuted in Japan. It was not named in the movie itself, even in the original Japanese dialog. This follows suit in FUNimation's English dub. The line surrounding its explanation was changed slightly, however:
-JAPANESE: "This is a bit different. It's tough to explain, but this is a Super Saiyan who's a Saiyan with the power of Super Saiyan God."
-ENGLISH: "It's a little more complicated than that. You don't have the patience for the full story, so let's say I got a taste of something called Super Saiyan God, and now I've learned to tap into that power on my own."

*Perhaps worth noting is a line that was incorrect in Toriyama's original script, but was corrected for the final Japanese language dialog, remains correct in FUNimation's English dub of the film. Freeza states, upon Bulma addressing him by name:
-ORIGINAL SCRIPT: "Oh, I remember you. We met very briefly on Planet Namek, didn't we? Where's your friend Son Goku?"
-JAPANESE: "Oh? Seeing as you know who I am, were you on Namek, too? If so, where is your friend Son Goku?"
-ENGLISH: "Well there aren't many humans who know who I am, so I can only assume you were on Planet Namek during my battle with your filthy Saiyan friend?"

*Kuririn's ringtone is kept intact in FUNimation's English dub.

*Jaco mentions Tights by name (both in the original Japanese dialog and in FUNimation's English dub). The jako/zako pun is adapted with Dr. Brief referring to Jaco as both "Taco" and "Paco". The Planet Eruka pun (a rearranged kaeru or "frog"😉 is left unadapted ("Wow, those eyes are more like what you'd see on a Erukain bullfrog!"😉

*Whis' "lifeform" line, #18's "cool" line, Gohan's "maybe" (re: Super Saiyan) line, and Freeza's "Golden" description are all translated accurately and faithfully.

*Yes, Chris Ayres belts out one of the most blood-curdling --in a good way-- screams we've ever heard.

The most interesting part to me is that the FUNimation dub evidently makes no real distinction between SSJG and BSSJG, whereas the original Jap-dub implied that BSSJG was potentially a more perfected SSJG. However, the original Japanese dialogue always supersedes the English-dub, so that will be something to remember when discussing this in the inevitable slew of threads/debates that will follow in the wake of the English release. 🙂

Maybe the RSSG was actually a God. Where as the BSSG is just a normal Saiyan harnessing the power of gods. Just a thought.

Resurrection 'F' - Detailed Review (English Theatrical Release)

That is a very informative review. I'm excited to finally watch this film without subs. 👆

Gal always had the good news.

I was thinking about going to see this at the theater but then I saw that it only shows at one time: to top it off the price of admission is more than a 3D ticket.

Though this might be just at my theater. Anyone else going to throw money at a movie that's been on the interwebs for a bit.

All those HQ scans, now even in color. Damn. I'm JELLY.

Shouldn't kamehameha be blue, though?

^ Only the Saiyan saga has been released in color so far. But yeah, I have the entire VIZ series downloaded... F*ck those shitty scanlations. 😛

The Kamehameha was blue in the anime, but because the original manga is black and white, obviously no definitive colors were ever shown. I've noticed in the color releases that nearly all energy attacks are yellow, though--here's another example:

...There are several others.
