Perhaps. Shortly before the duel Luke and Leia talk about how they don't have to fight alone but can with the force (in the audio book at least). Although, I'd say that's just typical Jedi protocol rather than any special moment of the force.

And Luke beating Sidious is not a feat of Oneness. Anyone who suggested that is crazay.

I remember also on SWTOR, they claimed Revan couldn't use both sides of the Force. Pretty sure Selenial called them on their BS, which was cool. 👆

Anyways...soloing Sidious in Round 2, plus getting even better after that, is enough for 10.

I do hope people realise I'm not against him on tier 10, I just think the reasoning so far has been laughable.

This is the important part. Wherever you put Sidious, Luke is above him.

Don't understand how it's laughable. A non-prime Luke bests a guy who is more powerful than another level 9 duelist.

@Selenial I'm confused what you are even referring to now... and if it is to our upcoming debate, how does Carthage's arguments relate to mine?

Let me at least explain how Luke improves as a duelist between DE and GM.

In DE, he's a form 5 with some 4 and 3 mixed in. It's those extra styles he likewise uses against his Clone on Wayland.

As he becomes GM, he masters every style there is of the big 7...and then creates a new one, the 3 rings of defense, which he basically replaces Shii Cho with.

Yeah, beating Luke in a failing clone body isn't proof enough

Regardless, my point remains is that he made notable improvements since DE, including creating a new lightsaber style (the 3 rings) and DE Sidious is still the greatest opponent he's faced...simply because he's the greatest Sith in history.

And he was not yet at his peak.

Also, the difference between victory and defeat is which side Luke was using. Using the Darkness, he failed. Using the Light, he won.

Putting Sidious on the whole Tier above Yoda, basing on a comic released in 1991/92. Great logic.
Sidious raised in power as he could create a Force Storm. That's all. At that point, he was already the most powerful Sith Lord, that ever existed.

Anyway, let's vote:

I don'te care about prime Luke, but I'm voting for Tier 9 as duelist for Sidious.
Angelalex242 voted for Tier 10 for Luke and Sidious.

Marco voted for all of them, to be Tier 10. But since we put Yoda and Mace and possibly Plagueis as Tier 9 duelists, I would assume, that more important of Marco's statement was to put all of them in the same Tier.
Marco, you have to correct me if I'm wrong, but if we put Yoda and Mace to Tier 9, you want Sidious and Luke to be there with them as well?

There's no way Plaguies makes 10. He's got really good Force Augmentation, but his actual dueling skills leave much to be desired.

I agree, that was Marco's list, not mine.

Caedus, Yoda, Luke, and Palpatine are all tier 10s. All of them have amazing feats to correspond to being with that grouping and I see no reason to move them- unless others think differently we've been on the lightsaber rankings for 4 days now. Are we going to work on the force ones now?

This current method of how we are doing this isn't productive, though I greatly respect Carthage's efforts. Thanks. 👆
I'm going to try to set up/find something where people can quickly make there own lists and it will auto form into a final list.
