I'm kind of glad we don't see Broli get beat up by ssj3 Goku. Because that would have been terrible. When it took Shenron to beat Broli in movie 10, and a weakness to water to beat his clone in movie 11. Fighting ssj3 Goku and losing legit would bring down his legacy, and losing to plot like every other time would make Broli...on the level of mystic gohan.

SSJ3 Goku was awesome in the movies though. We got to have more fanservice with the form there than in the Buu saga really, and it became irrelevant after that, so I would've liked to see that form against an undead Broly. Even then, I doubt Goku would've just solo'ed Broly even as SSJ3; the plot likely would've required him needing help to do so.

And not for nothing, but Broly's power had increased dramatically from film to film anyway, going from movie 8 to movie 10... If he had another film after the Vs SSJ3 Goku in hell scenario, he would then reach another new height if he was brought back with the Dragon Balls like Frieza...

But ya know, the road not taken since he's non-canon, yadayada.

I wouldn't mind another Broli movie though, since they obviously know how popular he is with Kale.

You mean like, have some non-canon movies with Super like I mentioned the idea of earlier? Another non-canon Broly movie set somewhere in Super's time would be a good start then, for sure.

lol Pretty much. Or just make him canon in Super. XD

That would destroy the point of Kale though, but yeah. Then again, different universes and stuff, and you could say Broly and some movie villains existed at some point in universe 7...

If anything is gonna cross continuity, it should be abridged Po Po.

Seems Toei has hit the nuke button on the streams. Can't find episode 95 . . . anywhere.

Wait . . . found one.

On a scale of 1 to -10, how was it?

It was Frieza isn't fodder/10. Back to being a truly fearsome bad guy again.

Sounds like this calls for:

YouTube video

A few things:

-I came in thinking I'd get bored of the episode like I have most of these pre-tournament stories (especially the poacher episode and the one about Tien/Roshi), but I'm legitimately interested in where they're going to take Frieza. So far, they haven't f-cked him up with any indication of "turning over a new leaf" nonsense. He's as evil as ever, but he's also seems to be playing some form of Xanatos Speed Chess. I don't know what he's got going on, but he might be the key to keeping this arc interesting. One thing is for sure: Frieza is this arc's wild card.

-Goku didn't want to kill the assassins, but as Frieza rightfully points out, they were either gonna die there or die via getting their universe erased. Felt like a forced attempt on the writer's part to cause tension between Goku and Frieza (which was unnecessary, since Frieza attacking Goku from behind as he did int he episode is sufficient for tension purposes). It'd be one thing if the assassins were already knocked out (kind of like with Burtur and Recoome on Namek), but they were actively trying to kill not just Goku and Frieza, but Baba as well.

-Don't really buy Frieza getting stronger in Hell just by being strung up in a cocoon, but whatever.

-Good fight scenes!

-What is Buu still doing in the opening song? They fixed the ending song by adding Frieza.

7/10

Also, I'm going to go out on a limb and say the spoilers about Frieza betraying Universe 7 weren't fake and that this WAS Toei's intention as of three weeks ago. Remember how they changed it from Goku fighting Jiren at the exhibition match to him fighting Toppo? These guys don't plan that far ahead. They probably ended up changing their mind and saving Frieza's betrayal for later in the arc.

Amazing episode. No flaws on my end. Giving it a 10/10.

Also want to point out, mental training has been shown in Dragonball since the beginning. Tien is a master of it and Picollo does it consistently. Hell, Goku and Gohan recently did it in super when him and Goku did a small tournament in their minds with Goku being Krillin. Lol...it also happened in the manga in Super during one of the first episodes when Goku stopped Lawning and conjured up cell and Frieza in a mental battle. Frieza training in hell should not be questioned.

Frieza's performance was the most epic thing on DBS to date for me.

Frieza and Goku are nearly God of Destruction level. At least, nearly Sidra level. Frieza is ridiculously powerful.

I don't know. The way Beerus handled that energy ball say otherwise imo.
