Dragon Ball Discussion Thread

Carver already posted spoilers.

An entire episode of powering up, only for Jiren to overshoot the mark, lose the tournament, and his universe gets erased in the last minute, so they can never have a proper match. Jiren's last words "I could've been a contender."

For someone who stopped following the series around of the retelling of Revival of Frieza, can you tell me how much I'm missing?

Obviously, I've been following this thread and others, but still.

I'm not expecting much from the battle scenes this time, are there any enjoyable filler moments? Like Bulma promising Oolong "something more"? or Vegeta and Bulma having a quarrel and looking cute?

From what you said, cdtm, those non-battles scenes were the best. Gohan, Hercule and Pan perhaps? So?

So far, the only thing really worth going out of your way to see is Freeza's drafting. That was just excellent, any way you slice it.

The tournament itself has been a bust.. Nothing clever, epic, or even well choreographed going on here.. Forget comparing this to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure or YuYu Hakusho, I swear to god the 1990's Street Fighter series had better fight scenes, even with all the recycled animation and predictable choreography..

When the most interesting thing is Master Roshi beating on some no name's after so many episodes, that's not a good sign.

The best part of the series, has been Bra's birth.

😐

What about comic relief scenes?

Some other story going in?

Anything?

I see..

There really isn't any super great about Super. Like the episode before last was pretty epic for Roshi, and was cool in itself. But Bra's birth, and Vegeta's reactions to things was pure gold, and hilarious. The manga is a much better way to go about Super imo. If you haven't kept up with the show. The changes in the manga are better, and the horrible filler episodes don't exist. And its once a month deal. And is about to start the Bra's birth/beginning of the ToP arc

"Horrible filler episodes"? The baseball episode was great.

One good episode, out of a bunch of terrible.

Stopped at revival of Freeza? The first revival?

In that case, the Zamasu arc isn't all that bad.

If you like Dr. Slump, you get a nice crossover with Arale outright stomping Vegeta and Goku cuz "comedy" (That's the shows actual explanation, she's a gag manga character and doesn't have to follow Dragon Ball rules..)

The show is pretty good. It's currently the leading anime in the world based off ratings. One piece was numero uno but DBS took over. If you are at the mentality of not dissecting every scene into something you want it to be, then you'll be straight but overall, the show is good with a majority loving it.

Yep. There were a couple of good episodes. There are a few in here that is in disagreement about everything DBS related but the show is currently leading the anime world which means that the selected few on this site, their opinions is being overlooked.

Didn't see Stilt asking for Carvers not at all biased opinion. 😆

So because something's popular and highly rated, any negativity or critical opinion/reception someone has about it is thereby invalidated?

I don't dislike Super anywhere as much as cdtm and such (unless it's an exceptionally bad episode or so like the Tien treatment), nor do I like it to the extent Carver and some do, but would rather have someone that criticizes the show's every facet than someone who shills everything about it, even if the former's an unpopular opinion.

Balance, etc.

that was a truly enjoyable episode 👆 gave Yamcha some much needed love.

Seriously Super wtf?

So according to episode 107 description

Spoiler:
Frost is gonna mafuba seal Vegeta
.haermm

As far as good moments from the tournament...there's been some.

-hit vs dyspo
-Jiren and gokus meeting
-Gohan vs the last warrior of universe 10
-the erasing of universe 9
-Roshis swagger
-#17 and #18 in pretty much all their scenes
-Kale busting out of the pocket dimension

So stuff like that. And before that, Friezas re-re-introduction was one of the most epic scenes in dragon ball history honestly.

How the ****? That wouldn't even work on him.

With how the baseball episode had universe 6, would've been funny had Kale and Caulifla already been introduced during that time. Then again, Hit wasn't there was he? Think I would've remembered if they had him time skipping with a baseball bat...

I think he is about to get hit by it but somehow tricks Vegeta into it or somethin like that.

I actually wouldn't be upset in the slightest if they dropped the Saiyans and made the show about the Androids. In particular 17.
