Agreed, especially the beginning of the fight. I wish Dyspo had stayed more threatening as the fight went on, though, instead of falling into the narrative that Jiren is the only real danger to the Saiyans in the tournament.

Felt like a pretty weak fight against a dime-a-dozen opponent to me. I'm also not a big fan of neo-Gohan, though, so maybe that factors into it.

For the most part, agreed, it was a good episode. I feel like it got overly melodramatic with no payoff at the end, though. Having a character be fine at the end after his really emotional last stand trivializes the whole thing IMO.

-#17 and #18 in pretty much all their scenes

-Kale busting out of the pocket dimension

What? No way, that whole thing with her was so dumb.

And before that, Friezas re-re-introduction was one of the most epic scenes in dragon ball history honestly.

The issue with this arc isn't necessarily that there isn't good moments. There are; issue is, most of them are just really short scenes (Jiren's intro, Frieza's intro, erasure of Universe 9, #17's scenes, etc.) and they're surrounded by a metric ton of hilariously bad scenes and fights between either badly designed characters (most of the fighters are just different-colored humanoids with no distinguishing features) or well designed characters who've been given atrocious "development" (Caulifla is the best example of this).

As for the good full episodes, it's true that there have been a couple, but they were only good in the sense that they meet my normal expectations for Dragon Ball. It really does look like the only *outstanding* content we're going to be getting is the Goku vs Jiren fight, in which case I wonder why we even had to go through this entire shitty arc just to get there...

I also hope that the whole theory of who is out in what order is proven wrong...but If Vegeta is the next to go it's definitely going to be a confirmed theory..That darn outro..

Oh and I did forget some stuff I do like about Super.... all the Kale/Caulifla stuff is great to me. XD But I really hate Kale and Cabba's look. I always think they look more like they are from One Piece than Dragon Ball Z.

I am in agreement that they could've done a lot more with this tournament.

Same here. Caulifla's the only U6 saiyan that was overall well designed IMO, though had rushed/bad development as pointed out.

Wasn't Beerus pissing his pants when Goku reveal his 10xkaioken against HIT in the U6 tournament? Now Jiren is reveal to be strong enough to overpower 20xkaioken from a Goku that since improved himself since U6 tournament.

After the tournament of power, is Goku new limit breaker form going to be above Beerus? How about 20xkaioken Blue Goku chances?

Beerus was only really shocked because Gokou was such a powerful mortal. Beerus isn't going to be surpassed by Gokou yet. After all Vegeta and Gokou together will be his rivals not separate as it's said. xD And those two have such a hassle trying to work together

Basically this means Jiren isn't stronger than Beerus and Goku won't be surpassing him for a while either.

Champa's kinda getting wrecked too, tbh. Beerus did say Goku/Vegeta would be serious candidates for the position of GoD in some of the other universes last chapter, though.

Lame. My boy Roshi bit the bullet. Would've been sweet if he made it to the final 10, but whatever. At least he went out like a real man, contrary to Tien. So much for the ending predicting the elimination order theory. 😂
