Beerus LOLS at Goku for losing in such a pathetic fashion whereas Vegeta walks off screen more pissed off than usual. The series ends and longtime fans are royally pissed off as well. 👆

But Belmod directly stated there was no difference. They called him God of Destruction Toppo. And he was using destroy energy, something Reserved for Gods.
Thats another advantage/cheat that's been just ignored. They didn't even make an exception for this. Just ignored how a guy became one of the people explicitly not allowed in the contest.

If it's cool to Zeno, it's allowed. So the rules are pretty much non-existent if someone does something cool.

So either Goku was capable of subconsciously negating the energy of destruction back then, OR that is simply the aura a Hakaishin obtains when they begin powering up... Personally, I'd tend to side with the latter. /shrug
So if Vegeta doesn't unleash some sort of kamikaze attack that takes he and Toppo out of the fight, I'm thinking he'll try and goad Toppo into killing him(in the previews we can see Toppo charging a massive Hakai attack.) Granted, that would come at the cost of Vegeta's life, but it'd also result in Toppo being eliminated for violating the rules... mmm
