I'm hard-pressed to see Vegeta attaining any new levels, tbh -- I think ASSB is as far as he'll go for now. It has essentially equalized he and SSB Goku /w/ KKx20. The only thing that puts Goku above him at this point is when he randomly/sporadically attains UI. That aside, he and Vegeta are equals... And I think that's all Toei was going for, given that they specifically had Vegeta write-off UI, in favor of powering up "his own way" or w/e. /shrug
...But at this point nothing would really surprise me, so we'll see. 👆
I think Estacado's right. At this point, they can only go one of three ways. One, give Vegeta UI, have him beat Toppo, and he teams up with Goku to take out Jiren. Two, have them go Vegetto blue, and rape Toppo and Jiren at the same time. Or three, let Jiren win the tournament.
This is all assuming that they don't simply have something interrupt the tournament, or Zeno refuse to squish Goku. Anyways, I would definitely like another appearance from Vegetto, but not to beat Jiren. I really hope they just go ahead and give Vegeta UI, but maybe the attack version, instead of the defensive version that Goku has.
Originally posted by SSJGGogetaOut of the possibilities you mentioned, this is what I would MUCH rather see happen, tbh. Enough ridiculous powerups for the Saiyans... Jiren is insurmountably above them right now. He could still beat them into oblivion, but as long as they aren't *eliminated* when the clock runs out, U7 could still win by having more people left on the field. It'd be a cheap win to be sure, but a win nonetheless... And that would certainly break the monotony of this show.
Or three, let Jiren win the tournament.
...But if the End of Z chapters are any indication, Goku WILL attain a new level(probably mastered UI) that puts him beyond pretty much anyone; Jiren notwithstanding. After all, the EoZ chapters made it clear that he hadn't had a decent challenge in a LONG time, which is why he wanted to train Oob so badly(implying that not even Vegeta could do it for him at that point.) If anyone still existed that could pose legit challenge Goku, he'd likely say "f*ck Oob, I don't train people" -- as he recently did in the DBS manga, lol.
Well, we've seen what Freeza can do with a little training, so I'd imagine that a guy with Pure Boo's potential could do a LOT more(especially under Goku's tutelage.) That's about the only 'logical' reason the prospect of fighting a trained Oob might excite Goku by that point in the story, imo. /shrug
...Unless, of course, DBS ends with someone wishing for the Super Dragon to restore reality to how it was before Goku(and co.) first met Beerus... Boy, wouldn't that enrage the masses. g007_teehee
Oh, okay. Yeah, that makes sense. Also makes even more sense for Uub to be saved for end-game based on the DBS training logic when you put it that way...
lol... If U11 wins, they should just have Jiren use his recycled animation finishing move on Super Shenron, cross his arms and say "It's over", while everyone has a WTF look on their face. But for real, IDK what the end should consist of anymore at this point really.
DBS 126...
-Freeza jumped back in the game and saved #17's ass from Hakaishin Toppo... And then he TP'd f*cking rubble toward Toppo and was surprised that it did nothing, lol. That shit was cringe-worthy pathetic.
-Hakaishin Toppo was mopping the floor with standard ASSB Vegeta... When Vegeta gained a short-lived rage/emotion-boost, however, he became decidedly above Toppo(he was outright canceling out his destruction energy.) Vegeta then used the exact same kamikaze-attack he used against Boo(JUST LIKE I F*CKING PREDICTED, BTW), which used so much energy that he reverted back to his base level... But at least it was sufficient to eliminate Toppo.
-It is now Goku+Vegeta+Freeza+#17 vs. Jiren.
-Next episode Jiren will unleash his power... I'd guess #17 will be eliminated(probably after he detonates his infinite energy reactor against Jiren or somesuch.)
Originally posted by EstacadoYep, but I'm betting he'll be fatigued(to *some* extent), just like Goku was after expending all of his energy against Jiren the first time.
Also Vegeta is already back to being blue in next episode...
Originally posted by KentoI hate that Vegeta thought about Cabba at all... As though his wife and TWO children aren't enough of a motivator, lol.
But at least Vegeta got a boost thinking of his family instead of just Cabba.
What a f*cking prick. srsly
Not gonna lie, there was quite a bit of cancer in this episode, and certainly more to come next episode.
Toppo was ridiculously powerful, but him knocking out literally nobody was disappointing. Vegeta not dying and going blue next episode also kills any contribution Toppo may have offered (other then propping up frieza's chances to win this tournament).
Jiren being a straight up douchebag was also a little jarring, imo. Guy lost his cool this episode.
Next episode, as evidenced by the end of the preview, 17 is going to save Goku and Vegeta from a full-power Jiren. What the ****?
Agree wholeheartedly. 👆
For all his hype, Hakaishin Toppo was cheapened tremendously... Because god forbid the Saiyans don't get their limelight. srsly
Only way I'll buy #17 doing anything at all against Jiren is IF he detonates/releases the entire 'payload' of energy his reactor... Only because it has been repeatedly stated that the Androids' reactors contain 'infinite' energy. IF Jiren tanks that, I expect some serious hyper-wank to ensue.
