It won't put him on the Angels' level. It will undoubtedly put him above the Hakaishin, though.
Ep.128-
-Vegeta givens Jiren a VERY admirable last stand(all things considered), before he is eliminated. Just before he is knocked out, Vegeta gives Goku his last bit of energy.
-Jiren is still an arrogant, self-absorbed douchebag *le gasp*.
-Jiren easily beats the crap out of SSB Goku(/w/ Vegeta's energy.) Goku reverts to base. Jiren continues to pummel him relentlessly.
-Just before Goku is eliminated he attains UI again, dodges Jiren's punch so fast that Jiren didn't even know what happened, and delivers a punch to Jiren that clearly took a toll.
-This time Goku's 'trigger' for UI was trust... How poetic, lol.
-NO mention of Freeza.
-2 minutes remain in the ToP.
*Next episode is titled "Transcending the Limit! Mastering Ultra Instinct!!" Here are some teaser images...
{edit}
Fuji TV preview for ep.129 (airing March 3rd):
"Goku has once again awakened to 'Ultra Instinct'. Neither he nor Jiren gives an inch as they battle while increasing their power, and amidst this a new change comes over Goku!!"

Thinking about it a bit more, I could still see silver Goku losing to Jiren. That's kinda been the theme of Super. Got SSJ God? Still lost to Beerus. Got SSJ Blue? Still lost to most opponents, so why would Mastered Ultra Instinct be any different, if they keep that theme going?
Because this is the last one.
