Otherwise he'd simply kill him again, instead of training obsessively?

I just saw the Broly dub, and I'm not sure surviving against SSJ Broly is PIS. Freeza was an indeterminate amount above Goku and Vegeta from the start, and their Blue gains have been incremental increases, relatively speaking, so it's "possible" they've merely been chipping away at that edge ever since, without overcoming it yet.

Vegeta still thinks that Freeza poses a legitimate threat to them... To the point that he wanted to continue intensely training with Goku in order to keep increasing their powers in preparation for another battle with Freeza.

On top of that, Freeza stated that Goku and Vegeta were only superior to him because they can fight as a team.

By all implications, post-ToP Freeza > Goku and Vegeta individually, but Goku + Vegeta are still > Freeza.

If Freeza decided to press the issue with Gogeta at the end of the movie, do you think he could have steamrolled him before the fusion ran out? Assuming it was prone to the same time acceleration as the potera version.

mmm

Funny how the popular Future Trunks never got to be a playable character in any of the Dragon Ball games.

Even YAMCHA had his own arc in Budokai 3. Even Hercule Satan had his own story mode in the first.

Not sure what you mean? Future Trunks has been a staple in the games as much as anyone else, appearing since like Budokai 1. Interesting how Budokai 3 first gave him SSJ2 though (to my memory), despite never having the form canonically until DBS I guess. His exclusive super saiyan rage form could use more exposure in the games, but his spirit sword finisher on Zamasu has already gotten plenty love there (DBFZ, etc). The Xenoverse games also gave Trunks a unique role as the assisting patroller of time, to boot.

I mean for story mode. Trunks is only playable in tournament, Dragon Arena, and Vs modes in Budokai 3. No way to play him in Z3 difficulty level, the closest you can get is maxing out the Dragon Arena which I believe becomes equivalent to Z3 at the top rankings.

Ah, okay. Point taken there. Even in FigherZ's story mode sections, Trunks was nowhere to be seen sadly. He tends to be ostracized when it comes to that, which is strange for someone as popular as him.

Gogeta could have casually one-shot Freeza.

And I don't think Metamoran fusion has the time limit drawback anymore. It lasts a full 30mins.

Hard to say for sure, if only because they weren't blue for more then a few minutes. Pretty sure it's the god form that shorten's the fusion, and not general fusion or normal SSJ.

It was never implied in the movie that SSB shortens the time-limit of Metamoran fusion. So far as we know, it lasts a full 30mins now, regardless of how powerful the fused being is.

That said, SSB wouldn't be needed. Regular ol' SSJ would be more than enough for Gogeta to effortlessly rape Freeza. Hell, I'd wager even base Gogeta could stomp him.

No way. BE Vegeta destroys Freeza. Even Freeza surviving SSJ Broly was a joke and only made for fun, nothing else.

And the power of CUI is still in Goku, that's his true power level in anime. Freeza is a joke to Goku, BE Vegeta destroys him (probably even SSB Vegeta beats him) and also Gohan would quickly surpass him (actually in manga Gohan has surpassed Freeza in ToP) .

And only Vegeta was potentially worried about Freeza, Goku didn't give a shit and didn't take Vegeta seriously.

Freeza just isn't a threat to them, also not individually.

Except Freeza very clearly IS still a legitimate threat to them post-ToP.

Everything I said... Happened in the movie. 😕

He wasn't a threat at all in a movie. He was a threat indirectly because he recruited Broly, personaly was no threat, his only physical action was that he got beat by Broly and was used as comedy.

Vegeta(who can very accurately sense ki, and knows the depths of he and Goku's powers) was worried about Freeza --and Freeza alone-- being a legitimate threat to them... He even referenced Freeza's ridiculous potential for exponential power increases.

Freeza(who can also very accurately sense ki these days) later stated that Goku and Vegeta were only beyond him because they can fight as a team -- they are two, while he is only one.

The implications in the film were pretty explicit.

No wonder he seemed so calm, if his only worry is Goku and Vegeta working as a team.

...If Merus isn't an Angel then I am gonna need a good explanation for all that's happening this chapter.

Some problematic things here.

Making copies is something Tenshinhan can already do. Size control techniques robs Piccolo of one of the things that made him (And Nameks) unique.

These reveals certainly add to the theory of him being a retired angel.

Which just raises more questions, if true. Like why he's never heard of Son Goku, even though he knows literally every Kaio and god is the universe, and played several key roles. Is he some sort of black sheep, among divine beings? Is he hiding?

Why does he know all about Buu and the grand Kaioshin then, and knew about Buu's resurrection, yet still had reservations about Goku?

Also, what's up with the spirit room only giving three days for one on the outside? What happened to a year for one day? Is that a different spirit room?

I mean if he's from a dead universe then he probably is hiding. Buu and the Kaioshin stuff likely happened before the destruction of the other universes maybe?

AS for reservations about Goku, there is hearing about and then actually getting to know someone for who they are.

Yes, its a different room, Merus probably made it himself.

👆

Merus seems intimately familiar with UI... A technique that only Angels have a complete working knowledge of:

Suffice to say, I'm looking forward to seeing what Merus is really capable of next issue:

...Because so far we haven't seen him expend any effort whatsoever, and he's still been ridiculously OP.

I have NO clue wtf Vegeta's going to learn, though. How to use IT..? How to make duplicates..? How to increase his size..? Really bizarre plot going on there...

You and your dirty thoughts...

I’m about to have all DBS Dragon Star Series 8 figures.

SS Gohan
Vegeta
Vegito
Trunks
Goku Black
Ultra Instinct Goku

Each figure comes with a piece for Broly, pretty exited.
