I don't feel wanting to put pressure on the government is anymore valid then wanting to prevent innocent people from getting killed. You still haven't explained that and your article doesn't explain it either.

You can certainly say you don't feel what Trump wants would actually prevent any attacks.

The only thing the article says in an attempt to brush this off is that there was some clause about potentially letting some people in for "humanitarian" reasons.

I suppose we could agree to disagree on which is worse. I dunno, "Let's ban all Iranians unless they have a super good reason for wanting to come" doesn't sound much better then "lets temporarily ban Muslims".

But anyways meh enough about Carter. Let me ask you this: if Trump somehow becomes President do you think he would truly try to ban all Muslims?

What Carter did was part of the Iranian Embargo (which in hindsight was stupid). Carter's ban wasn't even a blanket "all Iranians", it was to those loyal to the regime during a hostage crisis.

Trump's "ban all Muslims" does absolutely nothing in "protecting people". It only makes the US look bigoted and idiotic and as an added bonus, could potentially serve as a terrorist recruitment tool. Since groups like ISIS want to push an "Us/Muslims Vs Them/West" agenda.

I doubt it. It was just another shock talking point to get those that support him into a deeper frenzy. Doesn't make saying it any less idiotic though.

Feel the same way about his wall. He's not actually building it; he knows this. He'll be quick to blame others for it not happening though.

What is your take in people complaining about his wall proposition, but some of these same countries putting up fences to keep immigrants out? Which we also have put up fences, right?

We have fences and whatnot already, we also have border patrol and an immigration department that deports people.

It's the idea of this mega-wall actually being a possibility and it working. Trump's not a legitimate idiot, he knows it isn't feasible; even if he doesn't, he has engineers in his payroll who know this. It's his combined stance of blanketing immigrants (namely Mexicans) as "thieves and rapist" along with this ridiculous wall empty-promise that Trump should be mocked for.

I'm also waiting for him to act more Presidential as his campaign promised. Cos insulting Kasich on his eating habits isn't it.

Trump is an odd fella, that's for sure.

I'm basically waiting for all of them to begin to act Presidential. All I see is petty bullshit and bickering from both sides. It's like this is a bunch of 6th graders running for class president as opposed to grown ass adults running for one of the most important positions in the country.

When I ran for student council in 4th grade(I totally won) I did it with more dignity lol.

What was your policy on cooties prevention?

That cooties were just propaganda from evil MRA's.

See I was lucky, in 3rd grade I was told I was a sexual harrasser because I told this girl my friend wanted her to jump out of a cake naked for his birthday(which he did say). I'm glad that didn't come out...my political career would of been ruined.

Fair enough, but why can't people get ID's? What is so hard? Do these people never drive cars or buy booze or any of that shit? Don't you need an ID for health care and all that shit too?

If you're too lazy or cheap to get an ID that is on you. Pretty sure you can't get something like welfare or any of that shit without an ID, right? So why don't these people have ID's? What is so difficult? Can you explain it to me?

If voting is so important to you..wouldn't you make sure to get an ID?

I just had to take my brother to get him an ID so he could travel to New York. It cost him 25 dollars and it took about 30 minutes. If someone can't afford the 25 bucks to get it then whether or not they can vote is the least of their problems.

In states with voter ID laws, more than 10 million eligible voters live more than 10 miles from the nearest voter ID-issuing office, and nearly 500,000 of them have no access to a vehicle and live in areas with few or no public transportation options.

Not to mention, many ID-issuing offices maintain limited business hours. For example, the office in Sauk City, Wisconsin is open only on the fifth Wednesday of any month. But only four months had five Wednesdays last year.

This does not include the significant costs of the documentation required to obtain a voter ID. Birth certificates can cost between $8 and $25 and marriage licenses, required for married women, can cost between $8 and $20.

These obstacles make it harder for hundreds of thousands of poor Americans to obtain the required ID to vote. They place a serious burden on a core constitutional right that should be universally available to every American citizen.

You can't compare Clinton, Sanders and even the majority of the GOP candidates with how Trump acts. Clinton and Sanders go at it, but the majority of their "bickering" is attacking their stances and politics. Clinton and Sanders are not calling each other out on having too small a dick or a not hot enough spouse (if it should come to that, Clinton wins both, imo).

I never said they were equally petty, just that both sides were. It's certainly true that if you put any of the candidates up next to Trump they will automatically be the lesser of two evils.

I just think since the ID can let you do all kinds of other things too wouldn't it be worth it though to spend that money? Take getting married, I would imagine you would need an ID to get married right?

I guess the problem is availability, certain offices only being open a couple of times a month in only certain months makes no sense. I just went to the DMV and got it done.

I also figure if they made it more available couldn't the government overall make more money off of it? Or would the cost of paying the extra employee's cancel out that extra money?

Cruz is dropping out.

Indiana is feeling the bern

This is simply amazing. This is what 8 years of plutocracy, propaganda, and obstructionism get you. Boehner, McConnell, Cruz, and all the others spent years deriding Obama as either incompetent or a dictator, and now Trump, who is both incompetent and has dictator-esque goals is now their undisputed frontfunner.

Instead of helping Obama with social progress, they opposed him at turn using the ignorance of the public, and now that ignorance has been manifested with a blonde toupee, and it's taking control. It's the ultimate Frankenstein story. The irony of it all is so poetic.

Who do you think would have the best chance at beating Trump, Lestov? Clinton or Sanders?

Either can beat him IMO. In a general election, his tactics aren't going to fly against any candidate.

What do you think the chances of Hillary getting indicted are?

Not a chance in Hell. Obama runs the DOJ. That's a Get out of Jail Free Card for all High Ranking Democrats.
