Especially all the criticism it gets for bad acting and terrible writing. I've never really got that from the PT. Maybe it has a little too much CGI at times, but honestly, that's about it. They're really well made movies in every other regard.
The PT was made for children of a new generation, not necessarily for the people who grew up with the OT. I think that’s something most naysayers don’t realize. And I’ll keep saying this but the Obi Wan And Anakin Mustafar fight in RotS is the best thing in all of Star Wars.

The Mustafar duel is over-hyped trash. It's overdone and drags on way too long. And I actually like RotS....

It's Star Wars. Of course people are spending money on this.

shhhh.. don't tell the haters haha...

We've established that the scene is true to character and to story, but now your brand new criticism of the scene simply can't be helped. It is a matter of personal taste if you don't like "your mother" jokes or the color yellow or the sound of church bells, there's not reasoning behind it.

Anyways, I don't understand the ridiculous amount of criticism this beautiful movie is receiving. I haven't yet seen anyone with a legitimate criticism who cares to explain their reasoning.

Exactly. Because kids don't deserve quality in films that the whole family can watch and cherish for many years.

The wooden acting, the horrid pacing, the characters who feel like emotionless robots attempting to come off as human, the boring story about politics and people sitting down alot, the lame dialogue, the nonsenical plot, the garbage CGI, the Jar Jar poop and fart jokes... ya know, for kids!

The PT was really, really good for including all these elements--elements that define quality films. The PT is so good that it can stand on its own merits, and doesn't need to resort to pathetic attempts at framing the OT or ST as even worse than this, therefore making the PT's complete lack of heart and emotional connection to an audience that isn't 3 or has the discernment of the same age, acceptable somehow.

Great films. Truly underrated and over criticized for flaws they don't really have.

I love that this movie is about regret and failure, and how to deal with these things

UM, NO. That ROTS lightsaber fight was hilariously over-done. They literally were just spinning their lightsabers around like dancing. There was no reason for it and it really doesn't make ANY kind of since when you look at the duels from the OT. The prequel "Dance offs"are stupid and break lore. That is one thing I'm glad the new trilogy isn't doing is the ridiculous over the top saber fights that cannot be taken seriously. The only good thing about the fight between Obi Wan and Anakin at the end of that film is the "High ground"meme that started from it.

no. the PT was meant to show the Force users at their prime and that means fancier better fighting techniques. Sorry if anger and hatred has blinded you to this fact

Yeah, it's completely fair to hate the Prequel trilogy, but the Anakin vs Obi-Wan fight was perhaps the best, most emotionally charged lightsaber fight in the entire series. It was great.

I know what it was "Supposed" to represent but it was still bad.
Definitely one thing (so far anyway) I'll give to the new trilogy is they treat the VISUALS of the original Trilogy with respect (in some ways....Gorilla Walkers are ****ing stupid). But as far as the lightsaber fighting so far it has been MUCH, MUCH better than the prequels. The Prequels were hilariously over the top and ridiculous. I couldn't take Yoda flipping around like a fricking frog on crack seriously; nor could I take Obi and Ani standing in place spinning their lightsabers around NOT EVEN HITTING EACHOTHER seriously.

The only lightsaber fight that I enjoy from the prequels was the Phantom Menace with Darth Maul. Even though that was also over the top it wasn't quite to the absurd levels of the ROTS fight.

Good stuff.

What does Mark Hamill know about Star Wars and his character? He has no business saying anything about the way his character should have been treated. He needs to just shut up and take his paycheck and be glad he has such a major franchise to be a part of. Leave it to the SJWs like Kathleen Kennedy to decide how to deal with the older White Males in the series. Token Black guy Finn and Mary Sue Rey are more important.

The irony is that they insisted on doing some nostalgia-fest with these new films, but at the same time they pretty much shit on the old characters. Kill off Han Solo, etc.

With great passion and fandom comes great criticism. Opinions vary and the prequels IMO receive far too much flack but I really love Revenge of the Sith.

ROTS is an awesome flick.

Honestly I think only a tiny minority shit on ROTS.

Whereas TPM and AOTC are more mixed, but I’d still say it’s the minority who don’t like them. A significant and vocal minority, but a minority nonetheless.

^ Speaking of Attack of the Clones...

Aren't all the Stormtroopers supposed to be clones? So why is Finn a rando Black Guy?

Leech is an ignorant guy who doesn't really pay attention to Star Wars to ask such a stupid question. That won't stop him from complaining about it.
