Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Poor Luke. They stopped giving him medals so he went off in the huff.

I suppose an issue is the time gap between the end of Empire and the new movies and no explanation of what has shaped their lives in between.

Apparently that video is very misleadingly edited and leaves out the part where he says "but then I watched the movie and was convinced it was the right call".

Have you smelled how butthurt people are over this moovee? It smells of sadness, lamentation, and loathing. Oh, and poop. Smells like poop, too. Butt-poop. The kind of poop that comes from butts. The butts that make poop. Pooping butts.

The ending with that kid looking at the stars was total shit and wearing that ring that came from a cereal box

He seems to forget about 2 other important Jedi who ran away and became hermits that lived in isolation and didn't relate well to visitors.

Lots of people seemed to have missed that the kid uses the force to grab the broom.

Who ran away on purpose to watch over Luke so they could train him to overthrow the emperor and Vader. Don't forget that part...major difference for why they "hid": because they were biding their time to save the galaxy. They never gave up.

I'd say that it smells like entitlement but that might come off as a bit aggressive.

Yes, very similar to the haters of the PT.

But it seems worse this time. Much worse. Vitriolic. Caustic.

Yoda wasn't watching over anyone and Obi Wan would have happily let Luke grow up oblivious if he hadn't found the message in R2. He already let him go beyond the age at which Padawans are supposed to begin their training. He never had any intention of ever training Luke. They both pretty much abandoned Leia as well.

Pair of cowardly chickenshit bastards. 😂

No I saw that, still didn't make up for the ending

Yoda ran away, on purpose, to hide, so he could train up dem babies. Come on, it's right there in the PT...smacks you right in the face with no uncertain dialogue at the end of RotS. hearmm

And about Obi Wan: that's your speculation. It's unsupportable. And even contradicted by ANH and the PT. If he planned to leave Luke alone...why did he........keep the lightsaber and give it to him the same day he rescued Luke? lol

Yeah that's what they SAID they were GOING to do. What they actually did was not keep watch over them and hope that they'd never have to do anything. They both hate that Star Destroyer gunner for not shooting the "empty" escape pod. Yella bellied cravens.

TBF Luke didn't know the First Order has gotten so bad. When he left the Republic was still strong.

TBF x2 the PT are more or less objectively terrible movies for a huge number of reasons. Some of them are unfortunate in that they're the result of mishandling new technology and techniques (Attack of the Clones was the first major film to be shot on high-definition digital cameras, which is why it looks like such ass) but overall those movies are just poorly acted, directed and thought out in general.

In this case a lot of people seem to be getting triggered by how the film makes Luke look like shit for most of it. Which probably exacerbates the other perceived issues with the film more than they really merit.

But then Rey told him about the fall of the Republic and he still didn't get a f*ck lol

I think GL's goal was always "all part of the Force's way" because Luke would eventually need Old Ben. Farseeing in the force n'stuff.

Right. OT has some of the dumbest shit happen...but it's a masterpiece, right?

Luke was a colossal disappointment and only used as a feat for Rey.

She convinced HIM to do the right thing (not the other way around)
She bested him in physical combat..........ffs.

That alien milk must've been something really special.

I'd say he bested her when they duelled if you wanna call it that, he grabbed her stick and just threw it away...but then she grabbed a lightsabre
