Which isn't an accurate assessment of the GA. The films has been review bombed, this happens to games all the time. With that said, presumably the WOM isn't great like TFA and more like R1's, we'll see.

Obviously TFA is going to make more given the hype surrounding it. TLJ could have been as good as ESB and it probably could not have matched that.

Wasn’t just about money though. Ares is suggesting that WOM (word of mouth), isn’t as good for this one.

I think anyone saying that this movie is pure, unmitigated shit is overstating it. Anyone saying it's as good as Empire though, is doing the same imo.

The truth of it lies in the middle. For me, it was disappointing and had some real issues, but I can see why people would like it regardless. It's certainly not the worst blockbuster this year.

And, let's be fair: It IS Star Wars.

Overall the movie was mediocre!

The story overall was good. I liked it....But considering it was The Force Awakens' continuation....The movie was SHIT!

We expected better Space Battles.
We expected a formal training (Rey being formally trained by Luke)
We expected a Luke vs Snoke scene.
We expected a TON MORE than the shit we were sold.

BB-8 wasn't even half as entertaining as it was in TFA, btw.

Rian Johnson is going to be in charge of a new trilogy of films soon. Get used to his style.
