Old Master Maul vs. Galen Marek (Lightsabers only)

Syn what are your thoughts on Sheev getting a turn on from Marek's lighting, is his power nothing but a glorified sex toy?

Spoiler:
Also what happened to your old account lol

Oh he changed all his passwords to random gibberish to force himself to leave the forums but he couldn't resist their "siren call" as he puts it.

But yes, Sidious really had a hardon in that fight, howling sexually and all that.

Lmfao

According to Ant it was Sidious's Lightning only. I guess you could ask Luke his thoughts on the matter. 🙂

Galen is able to redirect Sidious's Lightning back at him and move against its stream. They're stuck in a force lock of Sidious channeling lightning to kill Galen and Galen channeling that lightning through his body and back into Sidious.

The comic depicts it similarly to Yoda and Sidious's lock in RotS and the game has it being both of them firing a stream of lightning at each other that causes a large pool of energy to form between the two.

The novel reads as following: With shaking fingers, he took the old man's bony shoulders in his hands and gripped them tight. The Sith lightning spread to engulf the two of them, fueled by both their desperations. The Emperor tipped back his head and howled in lascivious pain.

So yeah, it has nothing to do with Marek's Force power - and nor was Palpatine truly desperate anyway. He was enjoying it.

We're talking about Force when this match is lightsabers only?

Actually I just read the passage again.

"Another staggering, painful step and the Emperor was within the apprentice's reach. With shaking fingers, he took the old man's bony shoulders in his hands and gripped them tight. The Sith lightning spread to engulf the two of them, fueled by both their desperations."

The lightning was a combined effort on the part of Sidious AND Galen as the lightning was being fueled by both their power.

Where does it state Marek was using lightning? 😂

Also omg lol Palps actually did! Wow....I can't believe I didn't notice this before. XD

Except it does since Galen was redirecting Sidious's Lightning back at Palpatine and the text states right after your highlighted quote that both Galen and Sidious were desperate.

In the quote you posted.

The Sith Lightning being fueled by BOTH their desperations.

Which doesn't state Marek was using lightning. Even then, the impact his lightning had on Palpatine is an *unquantifiable* factor due to Palpatine's lightning also being in the mix. 👆

No idea. I assume Ant was bored.

I mean. I really don't know what there is to say here. It's your opinion over what's stated in the text. No matter how well respected of a debater you are you're never going to have more relevancy then an official source.

😬

:/

👆 And, again, Palpatine wasn't truly desperate, as stated directly in the next sentence, and in other works where Marek was painted as being "no match" for him.

It doesn't really matter though. I mean, Galen and Sidious are both channeling the ever increasing well of power between them in an attempt to defeat their opponent. The fact that they're both able to handle that power until the Rebels are about to be gunned down which prematurely ends the fight shows they're capable of matching each other for an indeterminate period.

The text clearly states he's desperate. Sidious deriving sexual pleasure from pain does not nullify that as silly as it is.

Yeah, and whereas Marek is barely able to stay conscious, Palpatine is getting hard. There's no comparison.

It shows Palpatine was never in true danger for his life.
