It isn't clear if it is a full-on reboot or not, because last I heard, DC hasn't clarified.

If they did, that would be great.

They've definitely changed Cheetah's origins.

Lol@ Golgo though. Pre Rebirth, she had one feat, which you hang your hat on. That's it. And yet, because she doesn't have a Flash tagging feat, you don't want to use Rebirth 😂

TBH, I think the last time I saw Cheetah was in that issue of JL where she bit Superman but was taken down by Aquaman. Was that her last appearance before Rebirth?

She then became part of the New Suicide Squad. Didn't do much of note.

Ah yes, the book I refused to read because of how much I hate what they've done with Harley Quinn.

Battleboards are treating it as such.

DC's plan is to keep rebooting till they get rid of all of their readers.

Some might be. We don't.

We just don't have the ruling on the matter yet.

Superman appears to be the only sacred cow whose history remains intact, especially after he fused with NuSuper.... so every feat counts for him.

Don't worry about it. Rebirth wont' be around much longer. Dan Dildo and Bend Dick Bendis are destroying it so they can bring back Nu52.

Wait, what? Rebirth is a reboot of a reboot?

I wasn't aware that Rebirth was a reboot. Seems like they change the characters origins all the time. Batman, Cheetah, and now Martian Manhunter's history. Darksaint said there was no horn, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a different Cheetah/character entirely. Breezing through the issues of Wondy Woman, Rebirth Cheetah doesn't even have that many feats, if at all. Same with her appearances in Justice League.

Giving it some thought I think it would be fairer to stick to nu52 feats since Cheetah has a different origin and seems to have a new power (being able to control people by biting them). I'm in two minds because she looks exactly like the old Cheetah and her powerset seems to be pretty much the same. I guess it depends though cos nu52 Jay Garrick is defintely different. Jay is younger and his powers come from a magical source. Eventhough he's got the same powers theres enough difference for us to think that his old feats don't count. I don't think that's the case with a lot of characters in the Green Lanternverse, they seem to be almost all the same as their old counterparts.

Yeah, as it stands Superman is the only one for whom everything past COIE is explicitly valid (not to mention a few things from before it).

Batman and the GLs are also murky enough that I'm not going to ever argue about anyone using past feats (though GL only extends back as far as GL Rebirth, not COIE).

Not officially, but I'd imagine most of us are expecting Rebirth to end up bringing back the post-crisis universe as the main one.

Well, yeah.

As it happened after New 52 and Convergence.

I hope so I would like to see the old JSA again. If DC do this I suspect Marvel will do this as well, I hope. Marvel didn't need to reboot anyway everything was just fine.

I thought reboots were supposed to happen over long periods of time ie decades or at least 10 years? It seems bad to do it so soon.

Marvel didn't reboot; Hickman Wars was one big fake advertising.

.....Cap still a Nazi? I mean was the real Cap an ex-nazi?

No.

It wasn't even Cap.

C'mon, you know better than that. Stuff like that never lasts.

It would at the very least make things easier. Making JUST Superman be the one who remembers would be a mistake and only get more complicated as time passes.

That's sure not what it looks like.

Telling new origins just to go back to pre-flashpoint status quo? Yeah, right.

It isn't sustainable to have Superman be the way he is AND to continue to make all these changes. Something's going to have to give eventually. My best is on the post-crisis stuff largely coming back, or at least something along those lines.

Keep on dreaming.

DC will reboot 50-60 more times before it starts resembling Post-Crisis.

But hey, at least Waller is fat again

They need to reboot again soon anyway, to fix the ****ing mess they've made.

Then again, if they gave Marvel even one of those reboots from their massive stock of them, it would only be a good thing imo.
