Of course Dooku was tired after fighting Anakin one-on-one. He just got his ass handed to him.Trying to use that as evidence of Dooku being tired/fatigued prior to engaging Anakin is just silly, though.
You're talking about this, right?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcXaicGvcvA&t=1m30sNo, Dooku is not "panting heavily" there... At all.
Yeah, he was. If that brief moment where Ahsoka pauses after Maul is supposed to show how much it's taking out of her then that is heavy panting according to Dave Filoni.
It's not just my interpretation, though. Dooku being "tired" prior to fighting Anakin one-on-one literally was not shown or implied in the film at all(if I'm missing something, please do point it out.) As mentioned above: unseen/unstated moments of the script are not irrefutable -- the finished product is what really matters where canon is concerned.
If it's intent on the scene I tend to take the script at face value, but if its something like dialogue or scene order being different than I obviously defer to the film.
Aside from that, there are actually quite a bit of scenes/dialogue from the script that were never shown(or were drastically altered) in the film... Do they also default to irrefutable canon, iyo? Just how far are you willing to take this rationale?
If it comes down to the interpretation of a scene I'd default to the script over my own opinion viewing a scene.
The junior novel was republished in 2014 under the Disney brand. Just saying. But either way, I'm fine with not continuing beyond this. Obviously we aren't going to agree, and I'm not a fan of talking in circles. 👆
Well, that makes it canon then. So I'd defer to that over the screenplay. Good to know.
