This is why I think psychological evaluations should be done. Clear criteria set. Not everyone is incapable of making decisions that profound and life changing at that age.

Either way, a year of therapy MINIMUM before any decision to transition on public healthcare. If your distress can be alleviated by therapy, there is no call for a full sex change to be bankrolled by the taxpayer.
But America don't need to care 'bout that. It's all about the money.
Also hence why so many UK trans kids are middle-to-upper class socialists.
I wasn't aware there was any money NHS, I really doubt these claims of "fast-tracking" have anything to do with 'grubby' doctors trying to cash-in.
On the other hand there are only two major GIDS clinics in the UK serving a population of 66 million, with waiting times averaging at about two years. This seems a recipe for disaster in terms of providing effective, dedicated treatment.
