Joe Biden, the 46th POTUS

To be fair, doesn't every military action have their reasons?

The war in Iraq wasn't simply warmongering or oil looting. The context there was that Saddam himself implied he had weapons of mass destruction.

It turned out he was posturing, but he still didn't exactly keep everyone from thinking he did. He fooled all the intelligence communities, including in countries that laid the blame on Bush for making poor decisions based on this bad intelligence.

Plus, after 9/11, there was a campaign to cut off terror support networks. Which meant going after countries that directly or indirectly allow or enable them.

A u.s president who allows hostile nations to aid in attacking us soldiers with impunity is a weak and ball-less president. Remmber the way trump deep-throated putin's cock as punishment for putting bounties on their heads.

That was also Trumps reasoning for assassinating Qasem Soleimani.

And lets not forget its America who have pulled out of the Iran deal. Yes that was Trump but Biden hasnt exactly rushed back in.

But Fact is American troops have no business even being the region.

P

Thats not how I remember it. I remember it starting as Bush saying Saddams an evil man who needs to be taken out.

Justifications started coming from Tony Blair making the case if WMDs, which Saddam denied to the end.

We also had weapon inspectors in there (Saddam let them in) who were finding nothing.

Most the international community was also against that war.

So kind of did seem like it was just war mongering, protecting oil interests and protecting Israel tbh.

assassinating a general of a sovereign nation's military is the same as striking back at rogue militants who attacked u.s. troops? do you honestly take that position or are we just going about this right now as a playlet, just to keep debate alive in the gdf?

I've come to the conclusion that Biden was the best choice

Depends what the US is offering, just going back to the deal from 4 years ago seems unfair, considering that the US broke its commitment, while Iran didn't.

As for Soleimani, not sure how much impact that will have, Iran is pretty used to their functionaries being assassinated, mainly by Israel and the US, and like the CIA says they are a reasonable actor, so if it would be beneficial to their country they would likely overlook that particular situation.

Don't forget the us/israel joint attack on iran's nuclear facilities, via variable speed of the spindle mechanism. We still haven't taken accountability for it.

Joke's on you, always has been.

Raising the minimum wage is in the hands of Congress. The POTUS can certainly push for it, making it an issue, but I don't think the POTUS has the unilateral power to do it across all states? If they could, It'd be nigh pointless as the next POTUS could just as easily undo it.

Then the next one could take the blame for it ?

But I highly a President would actually decrease the minimum wage 4 years of inflation after it was introduced.

The eight Democrats who voted 'no' on $15 minimum wage

One of President Biden’s top policy goals, an increase in the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2025, suffered a big setback Friday when eight members of the Senate Democratic caucus voted against it. -snip

As of right now, those eight deserve to lose their positions in 2022.

To other Democrats, maybe. Democrats cannot afford to lose any seats, or we will lose any progress we working towards in the following tow years.

The republicans will probably lose more than 8 anyway

Midterms usually favor the opposition.
