It was a great feat, definitely superhuman. It wasn't a sub in the traditional sense but rather a getaway pod. Something not meant to go deep underwater. I'm not claiming either way, just saying it looked like plastic from the scene.

It was a great feat though and IMO Cap's best in both films.

Whether it be movie Cap or comic Cap he beats both versions of Ozy

Again you see the same hole, but from the front.

There are more images but 3 should suffice.

I didn't say it was regular glass. I said it looked like plastic. I'm not claiming it was plastic or regular glass in the story (but it was in making the movie). I just don't think it was reinforced glass. It was a getaway pod, nothing more. Prove that it was indeed reinforced glass.

Those marks aren't even in the same place, so much for your claim of them being holes, especailly since from the front you can't see any light from the other side of the mark. that and if you look at the back of the shield after Red Skull hits it, there is no hole on that side either.

BTW, prove that the getaway sub wasn't using reinforced glass, like is common on other subs.

Just checked though, the mark does appear in other close ups, so they must have used a different shield for the punch scene.

That and, bullets can get through even thick steel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6gHCNMSbqQ&feature=channel&list=UL

Those are special armor piercing tips with modern weaponry (which is far superior to the weaponry of the 30s and 40s). Also long range rifles in general carry more punch than typical machine guns.

But again it was a prop for a costume and probably made of lighter metal alloys. A real steel shield that size and thickness would be over 120lb easily.

So it's a strength feat for cap, is that what you're implying :-p

Looking back at the movie, the hole was in the shield way before that scene, it was also in the scene where he freed Bucky and up until then nobody had fired a rifle or handgun at Cap, so the hole must have been from the anti-aircraft fire when he jumped from Stark's plane.

Ozy is so above Cap it's not even funny.

You've got that backwards.

Dyslexic?

wave

Ozy catches bullets.

Cap catches Ozy's neck and breaks it.

Comic versions, Cap wins
Movie versions Ozy slightly edges Cap due to skill and h2h speed and smarts.

How does Ozy get past Cap's huge durability edge?

Captain America pulls a Sub-Zero on Ozy, ripping his neck off!

Cap tanked Thor's forest buster in the movie, not sure what you think ozy can do to hurt him

To be fair, that was the shield.
