Superman vs Goku (Official Thread)

I already said energy durablity and speed are Gokou's. As for strength I think Gokou is over 100 tons also but when have they ever created a shockwave from their punches that destroyed anything? Or even registered to even be considered a shockwave?

Pretty much every DBZ fight would display massive shockwaves, in fact i posted a fight between cell vs gohan awhile ago that proved this (and keep in mind any DBZ fight u find will have one). The collateral damage from even a pure physical bout was vastly more damaging then any fight in JLU, even the fight bewteen Supes vs Marvel was hardly at the level of 17 vs Picolo.

And none of the destruction in a DBZ battle is from shockwaves. It's from them being hit into something or blasting. And the Z warriors don't worry about damaging anything because three-fourth of Z Earth is nothing but desert so they can fight easily without destroying much. Not saying Superman destroys anything with shockwaves in his fights either in the cartoon but Z fighters don't either.

So, has this changed to the animated JLU Superman?

Or are we still talking about the real deal?

Pretty much at the moment Animated Supes is being talked about.

but I feel like if this ifght were to be done officially theyd probably give goku the stats people think he have (not the fanboys who think he can blow up the universe but things other characters can do) he'd probably be faster than superman and his beams would be able to destroy solar systems..I think thats the way the creator meant his character to come out but at the same time he didn't want goku to become undefeatable

if goku were made a namerican comic book character (which would be kinda cool) I think his levels would go like this

Base: Middle/High Meta Human
SSJ1: Low Herald
SSJ2: Mid Herald
SSJ3: High Herald (or anywhere between high and mid)
SSJ4: Still High Herald (this is assuming his powers were t oincrease linearly)
and if SSJ5 was made: Sub Sky Father

If Goku SSJ4 were redone I think he'd be the perfect match up against superman His strength would be as great but his energy projection and speed would be double his....I actually think it'd be really cool if goku were adopted into the DC universe for a cross over or something

Again is everyone forgetting the shockwaves from to colided punchs in DBZ often resulted in minature atom bomb explosions. in fact didnt buu's and goku combined shockwave punch rearrange the landscape they were fighting on.

lol atom explosions, seriously what show were you watching?

I could ask the same question to u, seriously there r clips on net featuring DBZ battles. Look them up and you'll see what Im talking about.

now that I think about animated superman is a world destroyer, after flash was killed in an alternate universe the superman was so enraged he used his heat vision to destroy the earth

The JLU Superman should have been a planet buster, but thank's to Timm Bruce he couldn't even destroy a city. Anyhow here a tier system I thought up that should explain the whole "Superman vs Goku"debate in a nutshell:

Justice League Unlimited/ Superman Doomsday - High Meta: Personally this version of Supes I believe is somewhere on the higher end of Meta, although he is still not close to being herald level.

SSJ3 Goku - Mid Herald: He's above 100 class in strength, a planet buster and can fight/travel at speeds beyond the speed of sound. Technically SSJ4 Goku should have been high herald but...well you all know how bad the GT series was lol.

Comic Superman (current) - High Herald: Obviosuly shuffled somewhere on the higher end of this tier. No reason to go into detail as to why he's here.

Superman at his peak (PC era) - Low Skyfather: Again, no reason to go into detail here.

So the conclusion is that aside from the animated Superman Goku can not defeat any other iterations of superman.

Not really anything. We were just talking about how JLU Supes would stand up to Gokou.

how about if we were to theorize powerlevels scale all attributes linearly then could goku go up against superman? (I actually think goku is supposed to be a lot more powerful but holds back in some fight for the sake of his opponent, to test himself, and he wants other people to get a shot in)

Actually its true, when buu teleports into space then flys down and hit Goku the resulting force shift the etire planets surface, and.. During the early baby saga, Gokuand Rildo fly at each other and hit each other the sameas supes and capt.marvel do in jlu, supes and marvel marley shatter the windows in the buildings close to them, goku and rildo cause and nuclear bomb type explosion as the buildings around them are destroyd and a large creatnthergood example is in the wratof the dragon movie, Hirudrgarn hits Goku soo hard the shockwave knoc buildings behind goku.!!
