Who's more foolish? The fool or the fool who follows him? 😉

I know you're buddies, but must you join in when he's blatantly/childishly trolling me for a reaction?

That was pretentious of you, wasn't it?

I took that as an older wiser person correcting my wording because it was a saying that I was obviously meaning that saying. (truthfully, it slipped my mind...so..thanks RJ. 😄 )

I was just quoting Obi Wan Kenobi, I would have done the same if you had said what Dude had said.

Really now? Then just how was Yoda able to go toe to toe with Sidious in combat? Hmm?
What does one have to do with the other?

We have seen Yoda repeatedly take a lot of time and all his attention in lifting heavier objects, have we not?

I got the quote; I don't think you were intentionally trying to be a moronic dick, as you're generally not the type, but you were feeding him.

Mhm. Yoda is a dwarf, he can lift shit as easily if not easier than guys 4 times his size, so yeah, size matters not, and that means physical strength matters not.

Wasn't that "size matters not" line more in response to Luke bitching about the X-Wing being too heavy?

Either way, Bardocks point is that the Jedi force powers have their limits, Yoda couldn't just toss a 5 ton object as easily and quickly as he could a 10 pound object.

It means both. "Judge me by my size, do you?"

And durh.

Okay.

"Durh" what? If you understood and agreed with his original point, why did you question it and then levy a non-sequitor?

He was talking about the size of the object he lifted not mattering. But it does matter. The size of the person, might not matter, but that's not what you and I have just discussed in our last 4 posts, so why did you bring up Yoda being small anyways?

What, that a Jedi has their limits?

Because I think it was Rob who brought up physical strength. Or Sadako.

FTW

That the force has limits and it isn't an instant win power, as seen per the movies.

In regards to this specific fight, considering that no force user has ever tried to Force-hold,choke or even push someone of Spider-man's physical strength level, it is certainly possible that they either couldn't or it wouldn't affect Spider-man all much, so the "The Jedi just need the Force to win a fight" doesn't really hold water.

I already agreed that a Jedi has their limits, I never said the Force was always a guaranteed win.

I only implied that a Jedi/Sith with the force is way too much for spidey to handle.

"Size matters not" relates to everything. To the force wielder, to the object the force is being used on, to the physical strength of the combatant a force user is facing. Spidey would be helpless in a force hold.

Example:

I know, corny vid, but that's pretty much how it would go down.

Also, ROTJ, Luke force chokes those 2 Gamorrean guards in Jabba's palace. There's the clincher.

So, you were getting confused about the arguments going on. No biggie.

But do you agree that Yoda saying size doesn't matter in relation to force lifting, etc...is not in accordance with what we saw in the movies?

Why do you ask? Do you recall some discrepancies?

Yes, dude, did you read any of the posts by me that you replied to?

It is extremely obvious that the size or weight of an object affects the ability of a Jedi (even as powerful as Yoda) to control it with the force.

Well yeah, I know. Spidey weighs maybe 160. Point?

His strength is immense. So he could likely make problems for the Jedi. Especially since we haven't see any of them force hold anyone, certainly no one on par in strength with spiderman.
